• Good vegan food walking distance from Bullcock Beach

I went to Greenhouse Cafe for breakfast with my family after, shall we say, a bit of a heavy night. I was looking for a big hearty breakfast, and as this was the only vegetarian (and vegan-friendly) cafe in town, and a short walk from where we were staying, it seemed like the obvious choice. We arrived just as they were opening, and were the first to be seated. There weren't too many vegan options on the menu, but there were a few that could be made vegan. I went with the vegan version of the Bits and Bobs. The server came out a couple of minutes later and asked what I would like the eggs to be replaced with, and I got tofu. The food was delicious. The beans had a bit of heat; perfect for me, but they would have been too hot for anyone else at my table. The tofu was perfectly cooked, and it was topped with a divine cashew cheese. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Greenhouse Cafe to anyone looking for a vegan meal in Caloundra. They were a bit pricier than I would normally want to pay, and I would like to see more vegan options on the menu, but the food and the service was excellent.
