- great place to while away the time, eat and drink well
you can watch the bread being made and stacked warm to sell, while sitting on a comfy sofa drinking great coffee. The food is thoughtfully and well made using ingredients produced by people who also care about what they do. The result is food that tastes great and feels nourishing. The menu is fairly short and largely focuses around their own bread, hence, for example, grilled halloumi with harrisa slaw sandwich, vine tomato and fennel soup with bread (vegan), frittata made with organic eggs, served with their own bread and salad, and home made beans on toast (vegan). Portions are huge. The atmosphere is very relaxed and friendly. Staff seem to care about their customers and have an understanding of vegan diets. Cakes are delicious. Don't go if you're in a hurry!
