• EXCELLENT food

West Egg is my all time favorite brunch place. Eating their banana bread french toast with caramelized banana sauce was akin to a religious experience, it was SO good. They serve breakfast, brunch, and lunch, with different menus for the weekend (the banana bread french toast is only served on the weekend). Their tofu scramble is good, as is their portabella panini, and most of their dishes are easily vegetarianized. They also have excellent, excellent coffee and pastries. They have a banana pudding with toasted meringue on top...there are no words. It's in a really cute area too, I stop by for coffee & a pastry and go eat it by the bridge that goes over the train tracks nearby. The only con I would say is that they get VERY crowded on the weekends (roughly an hour wait is normal).
