• Good cheap vegan noodles

This place isn't a dedicated vegetarian restaurant, but it does offer an impressive two pages of vegan versions of popular Vietnamese dishes. The ideal place for me to go with my meat-eating boyfriend. I actually went back here 3 times during my stay as it was just down the road from my hostel and cheap, quick and convenient. All 3 times I had the same thing - the Bun tron chay (vegetarian vermicilli), because it was so good. Rice noodles were topped with a tangy broth, shredded papaya, beansprouts, tofu, pickles, peanuts and herbs. For me it's the condiments that really make this dish and this place has got a great selection; limes, kumquats, pickled garlic, chilli-jam and soybean sauce, yum! Very quick, efficient service, nice clean restaurant and this dish is a bargain for only 35,000vnd. Also in a great location near the cathedral. Updated from previous review on 2016-10-07
