- Vegan pizza in the Sacramento area
Went to Pizza Bell yesterday and saw that yes, the vegan menu had expanded. They have a stack of vegan menus displayed next to the cash register. We ordered a medium Spring Veggie pizza with the red tomato sauce, then had them add extra garlic, olives, and mushrooms to boost the flavor. The Daiya cheese they used tasted quite good, but we should have specified the thick crust - the regular crust was too thin for us. Otherwise, the flavors combined very well and we were pleased to find a legitimate vegan pizza on the menu, rather than something we would have had to "build ourselves" somewhere else. Next time we're going to try the High Omega ranch sauce instead of the red sauce. Updated from previous review on 2016-09-29
