The Store is a small coffee shop and health food store in downtown Orono. They have a great, central location. My personal experiences with the Store have been somewhat mixed. They sell delicious, large cookies , but, unfortunately, none of these are vegan. Their coffee is pretty good, and they make a variety of coffee drinks. They also sell locally made bread that is quite good. Unfortunately, I find their selection of vegetarian and vegan food to be somewhat limited, particularly compared to other stores in the area. They sell canned beans and vegetables, frozen Amy's brand foods, and a few other assorted items. I have had a few experiences finding food for sale that was expired or for sale with the expiration date marked through or removed from a container. I would only recommend visiting The Store for coffee, cookies (for non-vegans), or to pick up fresh bread.
