- Impressive Vegan Baked Goods Selection
I found out about this place on happycow and decided to stop in on my last trip to San Francisco. Here's my Whole Foods review. The market is similar to other Whole Foods. It's a moderate size one, so the displays seem to be a bit cramped. I was so surprised and impressed to see that the bakery selection featured many vegan items. On the day I visited, there were 7 varieties of vegan donuts, 3 kinds of vegan cookies, and 3 kinds of vegan muffins! WOW. This is the most vegan-friendly Whole Foods bakery I've seen (and I've been to many Whole Foods). The vegan blueberry muffin was very yummy. The vegan chocolate peanut donut was okay. Also got a whole wheat bagel and other grocery. Downstairs there is a coffee shop offering Whole Foods brand coffee and espresso drinks in addition to one locally roasted brew (Ritual Coffee). Casual seating area provided.
