• Nice little produce stand, plus.

This is Santa Cruz County's original health food store, and it's still the quaintest. Very small, about the size of a lot of the Big Box store's juice sections. For it's size though, it has a great selection of the basics. 6 or so vegan milks, a couple vegan cheeses and butters, a few vegan spreads. Nice organic produce section with 15 or so varieties. The bulk section has a good selection of grains, rice, cereals, and beans, plus a few treats. You can also get some packaged and canned goods (pasta, pasta sauce, beans, some ethnic stuff, cereal, condiments) all with some veg/an options. A few mock veg and vegan meats in the cooler section including tofu, tempeh, seitan, and a few flavored tofus and soysage, plus veggie burgers. Good choice of juices and breads. All in all a nice selection for veg/ans, but many items do run a bit pricey. Basic household goods found across the praking lot at the Herb Room.
