Following their win in the 2016 Bull City Vegan Chef Challenge, the owner/management recognized the demand and potential for serving vegan options and decided to add at least one fully vegan option to every menu (breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch, and dinner). Their winning dish was vegan Königsberger Klopse — tempeh meatballs with macadamia cream, capers and faux anchovies, served with a side of roasted potatoes topped with wood sorrel pesto. To say it was delicious doesn't go far enough to explain how much I loved this dish! I look forward to trying their vegan tofu scramble and vegan blue cheese & roasted beet sandwich! The staff is top notch, and the atmosphere is like none other in Durham - a very European feel.
