- Good food, bad experience
After weeks traveling around northern Argentina and Chile, it was very nice to find a real vegan restaurant in Salta, in a country where meat is so widely consumed. My girlfriend and I had lunch there on April 5th, 2016, and after seeing all the reviews here our expectations were really high. The experience, though, wasn't good. We arrived there around 1 pm, and even the restaurant wasn't crowded, it took more than 10 minutes until someone came to our table. With many options being offered (which is very good!), we asked the waiter for suggestions, both for salad and for the main course. Dishes ordered, it took more than ONE HOUR until we were finally served, while a couple in the nearby table received it food 15 minutes earlier even arriving to the restaurant after us. The salad came first and was very good, and when the main course finally came we found out both had the exact same spice and flavor as the salad, what made us feel like we were eating the same food during the whole time. The food, it's important to say, was very good, the dishes were very well prepared and the ingredients used were clearly fresh, but we ended up very frustrated for not feeling happy after eating in such a good rated restaurant. Other negative points were the very loud music in some moments, playing songs that had very little to do with the restaurant's proposal and atmosphere, and also the waiter (who should know the dishes and could have recommended varied options in the first place) who went to our table every 10 minutes to ask if everything was ok - too much in my opinion. Just like the title of this review says, the food was good, but the experience was bad. We paid 395 pesos ($ 28) in total, a moderate price for the local standards.
