  • Great vegan food, nice atmosphere

After a morning of watching the sumo, my girlfriend and I decided this would be a decent place to check out for lunch. After a longish walk, we found the place to have a pleasant rustic Mediterranean feel to it, and was clearly marked as vegan (always comforting in Japan, sometimes it can be difficult to be trusting). They sat us down and gave us an English menu. We both had a main and a dessert. All the food was good and decent value for money. There was a little shop corner in the entrance to the restaurant that sold a lot of goodies. If I had visited this place earlier in my (year long) stay in japan, I certainly would have left with a bag full of (admittedly not cheap) goodies. Overall we were very happy with the experience at Paprika Shokudo Vegan. The food was good, and well priced, the atmosphere was great and the service was good. I would recommend people in the area to check it out.
