  • Amazing place--but get there early!

This is hands-down the best restaurant Plainfield has ever seen. The service is wonderful, and the food--all local and sustainable--is unbelievable! Vegan options are clearly labeled on the menu, and the kitchen is very accommodating. (For instance, I've ordered the Veggie sandwich a few times subbing the cheese out for extra hummus.) Chef Dave is phenomenal. The enchiladas are always generously spiced and served with an incredible sauce, the stuffed pepper is sweet and smoky and served over a house-made vegan pasta that is out of this world. The ratatouille is surprisingly flavorful and topped with a generous, gooey helping of Daiya cheese! The only problem: the restaurant is small and the incredible food and beer make it a very popular destination. Furthermore, they do not take reservations. Arrive early and/or prepare to drop by to put your name in and then shop downtown until your table is ready. I promise you, it's worth the wait!
