- Excellent food
There aren't many places in Emerald to get a good feed if one is vegan, but the General Food Store usually has some excellent options (their menu is seasonal so some months there are more vegan options than others). They also have a lot of gluten free options (their home made gluten free bread is excellent). The staff are lovely and there are seats out the front where you can sit with your dog. There is also a nice quiet courtyard out the back. They have a great range of vegan cakes too, the carrot cake is particularly tasty.
