- Nishta
Since there are no other decent vegetarian restaurants in or around Dubrovnik, dining at Nishta is the only reasonable thing to do. It's a small place with very nice interior and a friendly atmosphere, both the seating accommodations inside and the ones outside are a bit cramped but I guess, considering the narrow streets, that's like in any other place in Dubrovnik's old town. I have been there today around noon and I have eaten a bowl of salad from the salad bar, gnocchi made of nuts with pesto, a freshly squeezed juice and a lentil pancake as dessert. Soon after opening there weren't many other guests there so I could order right away and was served pretty quickly by an very friendly waitress. Salad was great, plenty of choice and all fresh. Sadly (and for unknown reasons) the mushroom pasta, which I ordered in the first place, was not being provided, so I took the raw gnocchi. Pretty good taste, no large portion but therefore substantial. The juice was really great and the dessert was fair, not bad but also not gorgeous. Nishta in Dubrovnik is definitely a lovely place, you should go there; as far as I am concerned, I like a Nishta in Zargeb more though.
