Giant rats are everywhere, even in the kitchen of a Michelin star restaurant. There is no escaping them in Thailand, even if you go to a kitchen outside the city. That is just the downside of a tropical country with a lot of people where waste isn't easily disposed off and it attracks rats and other creatures. Myself and my partner ate here at least once and sometimes twice every day that they were open for the 2 weeks we were in Krabi. My partner has an autoimmune disease and has to be careful about what he eats and hygiene etc. We had no problems here after eating at least 20 meals here over 2 weeks so I don't think hygiene is a problem.
