No-Blender Peanut Sauce

No Blender Peanut Sauce

A few posts back, I talked about keeping it simple with meals in a bowl…for breakfast, lunch and dinner. One important component of a meal in a bowl is the sauce. You can literally have the same ingredients in every bowl, but make it taste completely different by switching out the sauce. I sometimes make several sauces at a time, and keep them in the fridge for use throughout the week.

This super easy peanut sauce comes together in minutes. And best of all, no blender is required. I most recently poured this over a roasted sweet potato, tofu and veggie bowl for lunch. You are only limited by your imagination!

Ingredients:
½ cup organic peanut butter
½ cup hot vegetable broth
1 large garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
3/8 cup organic brown sugar
1 teaspoon Bragg Liquid Aminos
Dash of sesame oil

Directions:
In a medium bowl, combine vegetable broth with peanut butter, until peanut butter melts into the veggie broth. Add remaining ingredients and stir until smooth.

Makes enough to pour over approximately two bowls.
