A beautiful place to eat and enjoy the day at the Garden that is also a home and school for children (including orphans). Restaurant is operated by volunteers and all proceeds go to maintaining the organization. Sometimes the children help in the restaurant. Breakfast features fruits, hot & cold cereal, breads, and drinks. Lunch set menu consists of organically grown salad greens, fresh baked breads, soup, daal, rice or quinoa, and a cookie. Or you can order a la carte. Sunday brunch features whole grain french toast and waffles. One of few places in Laxmanjhula to get good coffee and real cappuccino. Expensive for local standards but moderate for tourists. On Saturday evening a special meal (like pizza night) - check ahead. Directions: Located away from the main part of town, away from the bridge. From the bridge above German bakery (Devraj) restaurant, go up the stairs and make a right, follow the main alleys/tracks around the corners until you see a sign on your right, or ask someone.

Moderate prices for local standards but affordable for foreigners - dosas, samosas, rice, and more. There is are 2 fat men both painted purple that sits at the door to each of the restaurant to attract passer-bys. Facing the restaurants, the one on the left is the older and the one on the right is newer. Both have inside and top floor patio seating.

From the main road through Rishikesh heading north (up river), as you walk and turn right to head down to the Laxman Jhula bridge, this place is just on the right. The cafe and bakery is on the street level. A gate to the right with steps leads down to the view deck and the enclosed restaurant one level below that. Air-conditioned interior, and both the open air terrace and enclosed restaurant spaces have views down the river. The cafe offers lots of cakes. The restaurant serves North and South Indian, Asian and Continental/Italian dishes. Modern, and more refined than the typical Rishikesh eateries.

Direction: traveling north from Rishikesh toward the upper areas, 2 kilometers after the big bridge and before you go up the hill, look for the tall white temple on your right, this restaurant is on the temple grounds; or ask for the Madhuban (also known as Iscon or Hari Krishna temple).
