Two wide straps crossed over the foot. A clean, minimal design that lets the shape speak for itself. Each strap cuts across the other at the instep, one from each side, meeting in an X that sits proud of the footbed. The diagonal lines make these read softer than a flat two-band slide. The upper is smooth vegan leather with a low sheen. There is no hardware anywhere: hidden elastic strips set into the strap ends give as your foot goes in and pull back to hold it for the perfect fit. The colour carries right through, with a matching smooth lining and a tan midsole edge running round the whole shoe between the strap and the sole. Underfoot, a cushioned layered insole with a soft memory foam top layer sits on a grippy, flexible TR outsole with a light tread. The sandals sit almost flat, with just enough flex in the sole to bend with your foot as you walk. The tread grips on city streets, cobbles, gravel and decking. You can wear them on the beach too: salt water won't mark or stain them, and they're easy to care for. Wine is a rich shade. Wear it with white linen or cream trousers and let it be the only colour in the outfit, or pair it with a print in the same colour family for the evening.
