## Two-Tone Flatform Sandals A flatform sandal in two tones, where the colour does the design work. The body is black vegan nubuck: one wide band across the toes, a strap over the instep and another round the ankle. Every edge is bound in sand, so a fine pale line traces the whole shoe. The same sand runs through the footbed and up the covered buckle. It is a graphic, slightly retro look, and the contrast gives a simple three-strap sandal its character. The Italian nubuck is finely finished, matte and soft to the touch, with the closed nap that separates nubuck from ordinary suede. The platform is wrapped in the same vegan suede as the sandal, so the sole belongs to the shoe rather than sitting beneath it. A tonal tan rubber strip along the base adds grip. At 2 cm, the platform lifts you a little and levels the foot rather than tipping it, giving you the ease of a flat with a bit more presence. Inside, vegan suede lines the straps and footbed over a cushioned, layered insole with a soft memory foam top. The ankle strap adjusts through the strap holes with a metal buckle, so the fit sits exactly where you want it. A steel shank adds stability and support through the arch. Wear them with a black midi skirt, wide linen trousers, a slip skirt, cropped or barrel-leg denim, or anything cream and summery where the black does the anchoring.
