It takes the pull on the pin rather than on the stitching, so you can switch sides depending on your outfit. The strap is made from two pieces of vegan leather, bonded face to face and then stitched through. This gives it its thickness and weight in the hand. It holds its shape across the width and still bends comfortably around the waist. The edges are skived down before they are closed, so the strap tapers at the sides, and the strap and keeper are double-stitched along their length for strength and a clean finish. The end is tapered so it lies flat through the keeper.
