Art-in-Return x Kuyichi roll up their sleeves for Ukraine Art in Return and Kuyichi roll up their sleeves and release a denim jumpsuit together. We start from the wonderful formula 'Art Wear in Return': in exchange for every suit sold, 50 euros goes to the aid organization Mila Potapova in Kiev. No giro number or administrative diversion, but immediate help. The jumpsuit is made from recycled denim and is a limited edition. The story behind the suit Annemieke van Beek from Amsterdam is the artist behind Art in Return. She graduated from Fashion Academy AMFI and Art Academy St. Joost and worked in fashion for 25 years as a creative director for various international fashion brands. Her endless love for art and creating inspired her to change her career. Annemieke started making three-dimensional artworks in 2019 and offers them on her platform Art in Return. 'What to wear when you create?' That is the question that came to Annemieke's mind when the owner of Kuyichi visited her studio to purchase a work of art. 'Art in Return's work is not for sale, you can get it by bartering. With something that inspires or supports the project. Or just with something fun!' 'I create to live with a full heart and not with full pockets!' In exchange for a work of art, Kuyichi offered Annemieke the chance to design her own denim jumpsuit, again using her fashion experience. The aim was to produce as sustainably as possible by using Kuyichi's recycled denim. Kuyichi and Annemieke decided to produce a limited-edition jumpsuit and link it to a good cause. The overall goal: let's help the people in Kiev The news reached Annemieke that Katro, the sister of Annemieke's girlfriend, had fled from Kiev to the Netherlands to escape the horrors of the war in Ukraine. 'To help her, I asked her to model for the jumpsuit project. During the photo shoot, a week after Katro's arrival, she drew our attention to her friend's aid organization in Kiev. The organization helps people flee to the border. They also bring food packages to the elderly. We are now helping in the style of Art Wear in Return: for every jumpsuit sold, we donate 50 euros to Mila Potapova.
