This is the long version of the Amira style, the skirt from the very first el.résidu collection. This version is made of 100% cotton that has been hand-printed using the authentic block printing technique. Wooden blocks are used to stamp the fabric, with each color applied as a separate layer. These selected prints were either leftovers from an earlier production or were rejected due to color variations that occurred during the drying process. The drying happens outdoors in the sun, so on cloudy days, the colors turn out differently than on clear blue sky days. These prints were developed by a family business that has had a print house in Jaipur for years, managed by a brother and sister who are childhood friends of Priyanka, the owner of our partner Vastraashi. *** **Note:** Because the prints are hand-printed, you may sometimes notice small 'imperfections.'
