Cafe-deli on the border between Kreuzberg and Alt-Treptow. Offers coffee with different plant milk options. It's also the home of Berlin Kombucha Society, so alongside cakes, salads, and soups it also sells fermented food to takeaway such as sauerkraut and kimchi. Previously named Black Sheep Cafe. Reported closed, Aug 2019.

Finally a high quality cafe in Alt-Treptow - Edit
There's nice places in Xberg, Fhain, Neukölln, Pberg and actually most areas but in Treptow there is a distinct lack of vegan places despite the fitting demographic. The only competition being a few bars and luke warm cafes on karl kunger, and obviously LPG but which is basically just a supermarket. I was therefore very pleasantly surprised to find a newly opened vegan cafe in my hood and now having been there, I can confirm it's definitely legit. Everything I had was off the scale tasty and I left feeling pleasantly full despite it costing substantially less than a tenner.
Read moreAfter only having being open for a week or so, the girls who worked there said they still have plans to add more decorations and sections, however I felt the place was already very schick and I love the low hanging old school style big light bulbs and skimmed concrete wall. Very well done.
Taste of food: 5/5
Uniqueness of food: 5/5
Taste of drinks: 5/5
Ambience and aesthetics: 5/5
Selection of food: 3/5 (they said will expand soon as they have just opened)
Selection of drinks: 4/5
Staff friendliness: 5/5
Extremely highly recommended, basically just go there if you live nearby. Finally a high quality place in Treptow outside of the LPG supermarket.
Pros: Great breakfast and lunch food and drink, Interesting selection, very fair prices, Nice ambience inside
Cons: just opened, selection needs to grow

Delicious! - Edit
Very tasty bagels and sourdough sandwiches. We had the “egg salad” filling (tofu) and it was amazing. It’s a cute cafe and the staff are very friendly, and luckily for us, they speak English very well. The coffee is great too! We’ll be coming back!

I felt unwelcome and uncomfortable. Weird attitude of the staff. I ate a bagel and drink a smoothie, average taste. Not recomend.

Perfect cafe - Edit
I love the wonderful spirit of the owners, their home-made food options and the general positive vibe of the place a lot. I always leave with an upbeat spirit, and so have the many people I forced to go there with me.

Great coffee and delicious bagels - Edit
Great coffee! I usually put sugar to mask the bitterness, but didn't need to as it was delicious as is. You go here for the bagels and the coffee. I had an avocado sausage one while my partner had the tuna style one. The sausages were on the spicy side.

relaxed café with cakes and lunch - Edit
Cosy café with friendly staff.
Read moreThree main lunch options that you can combine as you wish, based on sourdough bread/bagel/gluten free wrap. We tried the roasted red beet and cream cheese bagel. Additionally they offer daily specials, we enjoyed the bread with BBQ jackfruit. Both were very tasty.
Being the kombucha house, they had big vessels in the back. Unfortunately, the new batch was not ready yet.
Pros: changing menu, delicious
Cons: kombucha was not available

It's so good. Small and nicely decorated cafe in the neighbourhood of Treptow, close to the canal. Has a small but well rounded selection of breakfast foods, light meals and desserts as well as great coffee. The service is always friendly and welcoming as well.

best coffee ever - Edit
Not just the best coffee in Berlin, but perhaps the best coffee we’ve had anywhere (almond & spelt flat white). I would move to this neighbourhood to be near this coffee. Highly recommend the ginger shot (seperate to the coffee). Food was fresh, made to order with lots of care and love. A small menu ensures top quality. Friendly service and a beautiful in house dog. Not to be missed on a trip to Berlin.

Great fermented food! - Edit
Black Sheep cafe is an awesome place, even for Berlin standards. Their menu is not large (I had three dishes to choose from) and at first glance I did not even find it particularly appealing (the sandwiches were filled with Mac n cheeze or Seitan, Sauerkraut and cheeze), but I was proven wrong: My main issue was that the foods don't sound very fresh, but they are served with a side salad with lots of different greens and even self made sprouts. Also they tasted really great.
Read moreThe absolute best part, and the reason why you should go out of your way to eat here is the Kimchi and Sauerkraut they offer: It is self made and tastes divine. They also offer kombucha to drink. The owners are exceptionally friendly and very welcoming as well!
Pros: Good food, Great fermented stuff, Nice place and staff

Kombucha & Coffee yey! - Edit
Nice place, relaxed vibe.
Read moreI love their Kombucha, was obsessed with it for a while, had one almost every day :)
They serve great coffee. One of the few vegan places that cares about the coffee drinks. Cappuccino with oat or coconut milk is my favorite. Another plus for me is the outdoor seating, which is on the sunny side of the street (whenever there is sun :))
The food is good too.
Nice service, extra enjoyable if by the cool & funny Aussie owner.
Pros: drinks - Kombucha, Coffee, outdoor seating, service & food
Cons: none
