I love Veganz!

This is a paradise for all vegans and vegetarians out there!
All products are vegan and mostly organic!
Unfortunately most products are a bit expensive because a lot of the products are imported from the US (like Tofukey, Daiya Chesse, Cashew milk etc)
I love to buy my raw vegan bars there because they have so many varities! There is also a bakery in the store where they sell cake, sandwiches etc
If you like to try out new vegan products, this is the place to be!

Pros: everything is vegan, most of the products are organic

Cons: expensive, small store

Lots of options but.....

First of all I really like to have an all vegan supermarket close by (it literally has everything a regular supermarket has). It's easy to get there since it's just outside downtown Essen and it offers non-vegans, novices and people who are looking for some more exotic ingredients/ foods a good opportunity to shop. The prices are a little high but they seem to improve their product range towards all-budget-foods. If you need anything you don't wan't to order online you can get there and it's very likely they have it.

Anyway, there are some things I don't like about the company or things I'm at least thoughtful about: first, the company owner/ founder seems to be not a guy you want to stick around with if you're open minded or liberal in a political sense. There are more or less reasond rumors about him being an esoteric with links to right-wing ideology and sometimes it's even told he's anti-semitic. Of course, these are just rumors but they seem to have some ground. Second it seems they don't treat their employees very well. From several sources I've heard the staff's treated in a very authoritarian way and the overall atmosphere of work is very bad and rude.

Although I like their great product range and the opportunity to get in, grab stuff and get out without thinking about the ingredients of products I always consider if i really need to go there because of the latter thoughtsregarding Veganz.

Pros: wide product range, everything vegan

Cons: the company's image, how they seem to treat their employees, their founder

Best vegan shop

Veganz offers an outstanding amount of vegan products. There is also a nice cafe in the shop, which offers tasty cakes, bagels and more. I just love going there!

Pros: huge variety of products, friendly staff

bulk nuts and grains!

the Essen store still has some things in stock that I can't get in Berlin anymore and the staff is very very nice.
my favourite part is that they sell some nuts and grains in bulk which is something that I FREAKING miss about Australia and is making me crazy!

if you want to know something to try get a coyo coconut yoghurt, unoco coconut water and a pack of peanut butter cups! x
