group is too exclusionary - Edit
Group is private and digitally gated. Tried applying 3 times and was ignored. Was asked if I live in Florida each time and I said no. Tried messaging the admin. Admin said she looks for prospects with friends in common. That is unhelpful for newbie vegans, especially those new during recent Covid-19 shutdowns, vegans who do not live near her in Mentor and won't get to meet her or her friends to get on the list, especially Ashtabula and Geauga counties which are more remote, and vegans who are in LGBTQ or minority communities. I feel Happy Cow should remove this group's entry, because the group is just a closed Facebook friendship clique group that can't be accessed by all.
