Delicious very nice food and service. - Edit
The food was delicious and we had excellent service also. There were some healthier options and some more indulgent options. We had the bbq tofu and pepper skewers with hummus for starters and then had truffle cheese fries, tofu nuggets and a vegan chicken burger. Everything was very nice. The waiter was very friendly and attentive (not too much either) and after when we couldn’t fit anymore food they gave us a box and bag to take away and the bag had a Greek saying so we asked what it was and our waiter kindly took the time to translate and explain it to us. The location is convenient - near the centre and was very close to our hotel.

Fantastic flavours and friendly service, over ordered (eyes bigger than belly). Had the kale and chick pea salad (Rhino) and the smash salad with lentil patties, rice, guacamole and salsa plus a mushroom gyro between two 😋 great service, really friendly.

Hidden Vegan Gyros in Athens - Edit
Vegan Beat (part of Rhino Vegan Beat) was just a short walk from where we arrived in The Plaka district of Athens. Our guide took us to a souvlaki restaurant, but since that left a lot to be desired on the vegan-front, we ventured out to Vegan Beat.
Read moreI ordered the Space Gyros - which were a mushroom-based gyro as opposed to the plant-based meat gyros in Nafplio and Thessaloniki.
The gyro was really great. The mushrooms had an almost BBQ flavor to them that was offset by both the slaw and sauce. The pita was also fresh and warm. It definitely was very messy though and would not be easy to walk with like other sandwiches in the city.
Also, the register was only accepting cash when we visited. Luckily, we had enough on-hand.
Pros: Tasty Mushroom Gyro, Super Affordable, Quick Service
Cons: Cash Only (Maybe Temporary), Need to Sit Down to Eat (Not Walkable Food)

Pedimos gyros, tzatziki y patatas, tardaron poc más de 10’ y por la espera nis trajeron de regalo coliflor rebozada que estaba buenísima. Está todo súper bien de precio y las raciones son muy generosas. Hoy repetimos!!!

מקום קטן וחמוד טבעוני לגמרי. החלטתי להזמין מנה מקומית מיוחדת pastitsio שזה מנה אפויה של שכבה עבה של פסטה קטנה וצ'ואית שהם מכינים עם רוטב כזה עם פתיתי סויה שמזכיר קצת בולונז. מעליו שכבה יפה של רוטב בשמל רך ונימוח עם שכבה קריספית מעל של משהו שמרגיש כמו פירורי לחם קריספיים. את הפסטה פחות אהבתי כי היא הרגישה לי כמעט לא מתובלת והיה לי חסר רוטב. הבשמל היה מטורף, אבל לא סיימתי את המנה הזו בגלל הפסטה. לצדה היה סלטון פרשי עם רוטב ממש טעים. הבעלים שם לב שלא סיימתי את המנה ואמרתי שזה פחות לטעמי, אז הוא היה ממש חמוד והביא לי כפיצוי נאגטס כרובית מטורפים (מכורה לכרובית).

We had lunch there twice and we ordered a variety of foods, including the burger, the gyros (both of them), the dips and the nuggets. All was tasty, the service was very good. There is limited space and it was outside sitting only but we had heating next to us so all was well. Highly recommended.
