Loved the fried chick’n but was not as impressed with the mac-n-cheez. It was a bit bland. Admittedly the server did warn me that it may need some salt and pepper.
Read moreThe reason why I gave it a four instead of a five was the service. I was asked if I needed anything else and I mentioned salt and pepper. The server also asked me if I wanted some hot sauce for the mac & cheese. I said yes. Well, throughout the entire meal, neither the salt and pepper or the hot sauce was delivered. Otherwise, the fried chicken was really delicious. The atmosphere was nice and overall the servers were very pleasant.

Popped in for lunch and was blown away by the food. My server was also the owner, and he was great. We ordered his top two recommendations: falafel pasta salad & mushroom burger. DELISH!

Wonderful al fresco seating in the center of the action! - Edit
The flavors, ambience, and service make for a memorable experience. I love that I can order anything on the menu and not have to worry if it's vegan or not. I look forward to returning and trying the cooking classes too.

It’s a schlep from Fort Lauderdale. Traffic is a nightmare. But I had to try it. Came in time for Happy Hour. Everything was excellent. It’s a very pretty location busy street . Highlyrecommended. I wish you were closer to Miami or Fort Lauderdal

Treat yourself to a lovely meal with lovely people in a lovely setting. Chef Rhaein was very welcoming. The staff was great. We sat in the back patio under a heater and enjoyed the quiet space.

Been here three times now and had nice meals each time. The food is fresh, nicely presented and portions are generous. The vegan fried chicken was very nice as well as their soups. I love their curry burger. The deserts are wonderful. You must try the cheesecake. I will be back, probably many times.

The staff was wonderful. The food was hit or miss, the chicken was absolutely delicious and I’d definitely recommend that, along with the egg roll.

I would come back, but mainly for the chicken sandwich. The desserts were good as well, a bit on the smaller side, but delicious.
I don’t like giving less than three stars to fully vegan restaurants, and I was planning to rate this a three. However, the high price point compared to the overall food experience ultimately brought it down to two stars.

The food here was very good and I will be going again. I wasn’t WOWED because nothing was super unique and innovative. The food was simple and clean. We had the curry burger, fried chicken sandwich, and mushroom bolognese. As for negatives, my server was uninformed and awful, and they charge for refills.

My wife and ate here first week of opening and we're not impressed at all. As the title says I want to really like this place especially as a vegan for more than 10 years. The pasta sauce was very bland and worse the dish was overpriced.

I asked the server what he recommended and he suggested the lunch special, Shrimp (made from cassava) and Pasta. The "shrimp" was fine; the pasta was bland. For $30.00, I thought it was overpriced. It was more expensive than the items that appeared on the printed menu. The service was good and the location on Atlantic Avenue was great. Although the food was a disappointment, I would try it again and give them another chance. The other dishes looked good. I wish I had tried something else instead.

True Vegan just opened and it was such a good experience. The service was friendly and the food was amazing. We shared the mac and cheese, the falafel salad, and the tuna melt and they were happy to cut the sandwich into three pieces for us. Everything was delicious. I’m excited to go back once the full menu rolls out, especially for breakfast.
