Vegetarian bistro, opened 2013 in the Kunsthaus Wien. You don't need a ticket for the Kunsthaus to get to the bistro. The atmosphere is Hundertwasser with the typical black and white tiles and uneven floor. The interior is light and green thanks to the large glass roof and the abundance of plants. Serves Viennese cuisine with a modern twist. Dishes that are vegan or can be made vegan are labeled. Smoking permitted outside. Reported closed, Nov 2017.

No Place for a Vegan! - Edit
Tian Bistro is adorable, with a young, well-intentioned, but inexperienced wait-staff in a very historic building. The menu is limited, see for youself here - http://www.taste-tian.com/fileadmin/user_upload/tian/bistro/at/vie-kh/dokumente/speisekarten/tian_b_karte_A5_1412_DEvfinal.pdf
Read moreTo remove the butter, cream and cheese from all the offerings would leave a pretty undesirable, dry and tasteless result.
Our server didn't know what vegan food was. I would go for coffee or drinks, but not not when hungry!
Pros: beautiful, historic location
Cons: Food, Service

Great place, simple food - Edit
The Hundertwasser interior is very unique, the menue on the other hand is pretty simple. Still, you can have some of the tartes as a vegan option. We tried the vegan vegetables and chorizo tartes and they were very delicious. The options are limited, but it's a bistro not a restaurant, so I wouldn't expect much more.
