Best veggie dogs I can remember

I loved the food from here. The Chicago dog was great - what a treat to enjoy a local tradition done vegan. And the fries were tremendous. I would say that, as much as the meal deal seems good value, you could very happily share an order of fries between two: we ended up not finishing either portion. Be aware that you’ll need to take the food elsewhere to eat; there’s a park across the road, which was good for a warm evening.

Pros: Really delicious and affordable

Love this place

This place has quickly become one of my go-to delivery places. A good hot dog is weirdly what I miss most from before I went veg, and this place really delivers. Great options, super cheap, what more can you ask for?

Pros: Lots of different hot dog options, Really cheap, especially the combo meal.

Vegan Hot Dog Stand!

The hot dogs are delicious, especially the elote one. A combo meal is really cheap, and the fries are hand cut. Orders come with a coupon for Updogs at the grocery store, too.

Pros: All vegan , Lots of options , Fast delivery

Not a quick fix but a tasty fix.

Online ordering only. For anyone unaware, it is a ghost kitchen (virtual kitchen) where the staff make an assortment of foods for companies/virtual restaurants. You walk in and grab your bag, or you can have it delivered via third party delivery service. So don't be expecting something like a classic Maxwell Polish stand.
If you're curious about the concept, you can explore this particular company here https://www.alacouch.com/
Unfortunately the staff don't always mark your order as ready, so 40, 50, 60 minutes go by, you don't know if it genuinely isn't ready or they just never marked it ready. As someone who doesn't like to interact with humans, is an inconvenience having to walk in and ask if it is ready ('no not yet' or 'yeah here you go').
I have tried the pizza dog, bbq dog, New York style, Chicago style, and chili cheese dog. There is also elote, nacho, and chili available as of writing.
I found the BBQ to be the best. Grilled onions really pulled the whole thing together. Pizza was disappointing, had big dreams for it but came up short. New York is very plain, by nature, Chicago fared better. Chili cheese, that was a one-time try never again. I don't like chili dogs to begin with and chili cheese is no exception. I would get Chicago and BBQ again. New York too if I wanted really basic basic, but honestly: just go for the Chicago.
I've never had a traditional Chicago style hotdog–I haven't consumed meat since I was 7 and that was well over 20 years ago–so I cannot compare the Upton Dog to the inspiration it was built from. But that "snap" is in fact there. It's a fine tasting product.
Fries aren't that great, too soggy, cannot imagine the liquid state they must be in for people ordering delivery instead of pick up.
I like that the pop is in a glass bottle. Glass bottled beverages are truly the superior form.
The chili wasn't bad, I find chili to be one of those things where out of hit or miss it is usually a miss. It wasn't very flavorful, but for a restaurant where they oft cater to the most average to cast a wide net of customers, it was alright. I would get that again if I was in the mood.
Cookies are better than Native Foods that is for certain. Not better than Target's in-house brand crispy chocolate chunk cookies, but then again, not much is.
