Still Open! - Edit
I have been dining at Teapot for around 25 years, since their early Capitol Hill location. Over time and my evolving tastes and the changing vegan restaurant scene I have only grown more fond of this unique Jem. I was so bummed to hear they were supposed to close at the end of this year due to lease issues. But while visiting family I drove by and saw it open and sure enough their lease is extended for a year (at least). So go check out if you haven’t before, and pay another visit (or many) if you are already a fan.

We had an awesome Birthday Party - Edit
Do visit this place. Huge variety of Vegan food and tons of vegan options. We had a birthday party here for 10 people. We ordered Mapo Tofu, Singapore Noodles, Steamed Dumplings, Crispy Tofu Fritters and a lot more. The owners were awesome and they gave us even a complimentary Sweet Orange Tofu. The best part was the Tofu cheesecake with ice cream! Highly recommend this place.
Read moreAnd yeah forgot to add that there was an awesome selection of teas as well. The Thai Iced Tea was amazing along with oolong tea, lavender tea, green mango tea and 5 flower tea. Great selection of teas to chose from.

Great options - Edit
Found out about this restaurant recently so gave it a shot. It was quiet when we went so we got our food quite quickly and the portions were decent. The menu had many good options to choose from, it was hard to decide what to order. Will definitely be back. Would be great for takeout or family style.

Staple - Edit
Love this place, hope it never goes out of business. Go support! Miss having a location in Seattle, I don't get to this one enough. Everything is delicious but definitely a bit too salty. Almond fried fritters are the best!!

Vegan in Redmond - Edit
I had dinner here to celebrate my 9th anniversary of becoming vegan. That was June 5, 2025. We ordered the chow fun rice noodles and the Bounty of the Sea. Both were delicious but had too much salt for my taste. The bounty of the sea has a gravy that's a little bit too thick, but it's still one of my favorite dishes here. It's a mixture of tofu skin and seaweed wrapped together, dipped in some sort of batter and deep fried, and then served with a brown gravy on top.
Read moreThe mixed brown rice is delicious too.

This restaurant is so cute, the people are so nice, and the service is amazing! The fried wontons were outstanding, I can't wait to come back and have more of their menu!

Alright - Edit
not the best, the one in Seattle was much better before it closed down years ago, but this will do in a pinch; the redmond one overcooks their sauces and everything is just… limp.
Read moreThey can deep-fry stuff ok though if that’s what you’re in the mood for.

Very good, huge portions - Edit
I went to eat here 2 weeks ago with a friend who ordered the mandarin tofu and he let me try some... it was so good I regretted not ordering it myself, so today I made sure it was the first item on my order!
Read moreThe batter is super crunchy, and the sauce is abundant and delicious.
I guess this is why this is the #1 most rated item on doordash.
It was my first time trying gula malacca, which is very sweet, and I could taste some banana (?) which I am not a fan of if used in desserts, but this is just my personal taste. All in all, it was ok.
The portions are huge, and all other dishes I tried were good too, especially the fried noodles.
The name of the restaurant was kind of misleading for me, that's probably why I haven't tried it before, but everything is vegan.

Awesome vegan Chinese food - Edit
Been here a couple times now with my brother and it's a go-to every time I visit. Very tasty Chinese food with all the classics I used to love before I went vegan.

Definitely on the local favorite list! - Edit
Wish we knew about this place sooner! We’ll definitely be coming back! A good sized menu with lots of veganized favorites like almond chiken. The mandarin crispy tofu, almond fried fritters, chow mein, and fried wontons were all amazing.

Traditional Chinese - Edit
The mandarin crispy fritters were very crispy and yummy but had a tad too much sugar in the sauce. The mapo tofu was nicely spiced. The portions were quite big but we had to order the rice extra. Found the appetizer spring rolls rather pricey. Service was good.

Good Chinese Selection - Edit
Teapot Vegetarian is a family run Chinese vegan friendly restaurant. All of their food is plant-based and incorporates mock meats and sauces many people will be familiar with if they grew up in the States.
Read moreEverything is designed to be shared family style and portions are pretty good here too.
The Laksa was our standout dish. Everyone comes here for it and I could see why - the creamy coconut milk curry broth with noodles and veggies/tofu was spectacular and a must. We also enjoyed the Corn Chowder as that really reminded me of home.
Claypot Veggies were way too salty sadly and without the included rice, it felt like something was off. I should probably stop ordering claypot dishes at veggie restaurants as they tend to be very saucy without much else.
Service here was very friendly and they took great care of us. It's a relaxed environment and one I'd return to again.

Finally found a vegan Chinese Restaurant - Edit
Tasty and authentic. The steamed dumplings were excellent. I could come here just for those!. The tea selection is extensive. I had the West Lake Dragon Well green tea (Xi Hu Long Jing Cha). It was very good.
Read moreWe found the fried rice a little too oily and too salty. But you may not, we don’t use oil or salt when eat at home.
For us when we come next, and there will be a next time , we would get the plain steamed brown rice, steamed vegetables, and the steamed dumplings. But we will keep our taste buds open as this is our first time. I am curious to try the hot pots.
This is our second time and it did not disappoint. Better than the first. We went with the clay pot vegetable and tofu hot pot. Very tasty.

Nice place with friendly staff! They do a great job sealing takeout containers. I’m not really a fan of most Asian food, but the rama garden with peanut sauce is tasty!

Love that it's a vegan place that's been around so long! The food itself was decent but nothing to write home about. Could have been a little more flavor and a little less fatty and sugary

it’s pretty good but sometimes repetitive - Edit
Some of the dishes seem like they all just use the same sauce on different bases. I really like the laksa and the golden fritters. Been going here for over a decade even before I was vegan and it’s a family favorite.

No service - Edit
We had been to Teapot last Nov and loved the food however, we were craving good Thai food and went to this place a couple of days ago. Google said it closes at 8.30pm and we were there at 7.45pm but they wouldn't allow us saying they were not going to serve us any food because the place is closing. Why say 8.30 when they stop taking orders at 7.45? totally disappointed with the customer service (no service?)

Didn’t taste fresh - Edit
I ordered the Laksa and the tofu tasted stale. The dish would have been much better if the tofu were fresh. I don’t believe it is typically like this after reading other reviews. #Veganuary

I was so sad when Teapot moved from Capitol Hill in Seattle to the Redmond location. They are one of the original vegan restaurants in this region! The food is so, so good.
