Great food, great service! - Edit
We did the feed me option and got 4 courses (7 total dishes). All of the food was so creative and tasty! It was hard to pick a favorite dish but I will be dreaming about the tiramisu. Definitely recommend and definitely will be back!

satire of what vegans eat - Edit
I've been an ethical vegan for 7 years, and struggled to find restaurants serving vegan food in some pretty vegan-unfriendly places, so I've had a wide variety of experiences with vegan food. I say that to give context when I say that this place was incredibly disappointing.
Read moreI knew from the online menu that the food was going to be primarily vegetables -- so not exactly the most balanced, filling meal, but hey I don't always eat at restaurants for properly balanced healthy food. However, I was expecting that the vegetables would be cooked in some amazing, creative ways, especially with the prices they charge. Nope. The vegetables were honestly quite sad and the flavor balances in all the dishes were off. The pasta was slightly better but still left a lot to be desired. And, the bread was cold for some reason? Not simply room temperature but actually cold, as if it had been refrigerated.
Between the pretentious atmosphere and poorly cooked vegetables, it seemed like a satire of what omnis think vegans are like and what we eat. This was disappointing rabbit food made by a lazy, unimaginative chef.

Cons: food was boring and poorly cooked, not remotely worth the money, music was way too loud

I also found Somebody People to be utterly disappointing — there is a way to do plant-forward cuisine, and I am afraid the meal we received during Sunday Supper was not it.

I recently discovered that the owners of Somebody People have another business that serves meat. I’ve always been on the fence about SP, and this unfortunately made me realize they’re in it for the business side of things.

One of the foodiest vegan spots in town - Edit
Somebody People is a must-try for anyone who likes food. With its focus on whole plants prepared well, it’s a refreshing change of pace from the trend of fast-foodish vegan-but-not-necessarily-healthy eateries. This is arguably the best place in town for herbivores who actually like the taste of plants! Here you’ll find well-conceived slow-foodie creations with quality ingredients, good flavor and texture, and friendly table service.
Read moreThe best way to experience Somebody People is to bring friends and order a variety of dishes. This is in part to appreciate their range, and also because in our experience the menu ranges from good to great and it might take a few dishes to find your faves.
We’ve found the service here to be better than most veg places in town: warm, attentive, helpful, friendly, and on the ball (not prone to errors), and we value this human factor.
It’s on the pricier side, but reasonable value for the quality of food and service.
Recommended. Enjoy!

Sunday supper - Edit
I did my birthday dinner last year here for a Sunday dinner with my friends. None of whom are vegan. All of them had a great time. Enjoyed the food, drinks, and atmosphere. I need to go back!!

Beautiful dishes - Edit
What a great experience. We chose the “feed me” option fit for courses. It was fabulous. The salad, grilled bread, golden beets, broccoli dish, black lentils, pasta, tiramisu, and custard. The NA drinks were fresh and delicious. Thoughtful staff and great environment. Loved it!

Artistic Vegan Cuisine - Edit
The vegan upscale restaurant is rare to find and this one shines. Expect small portions, plant-forward dishes, and expertly crafted dishes. Loved the “feed me” option–it was a great way to spend two hours.

Good food. Packed restaurant. Lots of energy. No pictures taken as we jumped on the dish too quick. Favorites were the lentil dish and the carrot cake.

MUST TRY - Edit
By far the best meal we had on our trip to Denver. We had the "Feed Me" tasting menu and we're beyond impressed with the beautiful plating, unique flavor combinations, and attentive service.

Favourite in Denver - Edit
This is my go to for special occasions. The owner Sam is almost always there and makes sure to deliver at least one plate to each table a night.

Excellent place to celebrate a special event - Edit
Great place to celebrate a special occasion. They have seasonal menus that change based in what they can source locally. My husband and I ordered the " Feed me " option for $42 and $40 for gluten-free . There is a version of a sampler menu. This was a great way to sample a lot of the menu.
Read moreThe meal started with babaganush and bread. The gluten-free bread was one of the best vegan gluten-free breads I have had in a long time. Our first course was a cucumber salad with great flavors and fresh mint.
Next course was airloom tomatoes in a pesto, followed by a grilled zucchini with a great tomato sauce. Both were very flavorful and had a lot of fresh herbs. The next course was their cabbage dish, which had a little heat from the jalapeños sauce.
Next course was the main course. Rigatoni for the gluten dish and a polenta for gluten-free. Both dishes were great.
The last course was dessert gluten-free was a coconut tercota with fresh berries and chocolate nice cream.
Make sure you tell them if you have food allergies.
Pros: Great atmosphere and very accommodating staff, Local produce, made from scratch , Menu marked clearly gluten-free
Cons: Loud at times, Limited gluten-free options, 21% service fee

Disappointing - Edit
After all of the rave reviews I expected much more from this restaurant. The food was boring, the portions were incredibly small and the prices were high. Not the best combination of factors. The pasta was served undercooked. Even after sending it back, it still came out practically raw. We won’t be back.

Food is good, but not really worth the price IMO - Edit
The food is generally good if you're looking for tapas for groups of people. But it's not really good for one or two people to make a full meal out of.

This is one of the best vegan establishments in the nation, hands down. The quality of food and service is phenomenal. The menu frequently changes, and the chefs' creativity shines nonstop. This is the most delectable, unique fare in the state, and this place deserves ALL of the stars!

Very unique! - Edit
I did the Sunday 5-course supper. The flavors were very unique and all the dishes were delicious. The drinks were expensive but all of them were fantastic. My kombucha-hating friend LOVED their kombucha. They use seasonal ingredients which I'm always a fan of. The staff were super friendly and professional. The dining area was rather small and packed with people, so it was quite noisy and everyone had to shout over each other. All in all a fantastic experience, but one that I wouldn't do often as it is quite expensive.

Super Salty kinda Boring - Edit
I didn’t realize that like 95% of the menu would be pasta dishes. I agree with the other review that said the food was just okay. Mine was especially salty and was basically tomato and rice. Don’t think that the expensive food was worth the price.

Fancier, plant-forward dining - Edit
This is Denver's fanciest vegan restaurant, and one of the few (or only) that doesn't rely on fake meats (not that that's a problem). The dishes are all very plant-forward. You can go a la carte or get the "FEED ME" option, which is basically a four course dinner. Service is good but the restaurant can get very loud (in case that bothers some.)

easily the best vegan restaurant i’ve been to - Edit
definitely a little pricy if you want to have the full experience (vegetables and an entree) but /so/ worth it. the food is so creative and fun and doesn’t lean on vegan food substitutes at all. it just does amazing stuff with plants. try the olive oil cake & the potatoes definitely but i don’t think you can go wrong. if you have sensory issues it is very loud in there, but that’s really the only downside.

Excellent service! - Edit
Tonight’s Sunday Supper was mostly Indian fusion. Everything went well together (except some portions were a bit much and could be halved). The dal main entree appeared to be an after thought - either choose the basmati rice or naan (but not both). I thought it was a 5 course prix fixe but it was really 6 with dessert (bonus)! #vegan #flexitarian #plantbasedfoodie #plantbasedfoodies

Awesome - Edit
Did the 4 course meal. Everything was really good and interesting while still being healthy. The prices were a bit high for the amount of food you get. Although it is a unique vegan dining experience. The maple butter that accompanies the bread is so good. My only complaint is that one dish was served at room temperature, and I’m almost certain it should have been warm. The zero proof cocktails were a rip off, for $24 we got a shot of beet juice and orange juice lol.

It was ok - Edit
It was fine…? I just don’t get all the hype. I spent $13 for an appetizer that was just a few pieces of grilled asparagus with some lemon juice on top. And $20 for a bowl of pasta that was just ok. The price definitely doesn’t match the food. While they clearly have put a lot of thought and time and energy into the ambience, it’s a very lovely space, I personally just want good food. I don’t think I would ever go back as there are better, cheaper options elsewhere.

Delicious food, beautiful restaurant, excellent friendly service! - Edit
Somebody People really blew us away. We did the tasting menu--a real bargain at $35 per person given how much food we received. Our server and everyone else we interacted with were super friendly, accommodating and provided excellent service during our meandering 2 hour meal--which we so thoroughly enjoyed. Flavors of every single thing we ate were complex and interesting and absolutely delicious. We will be back! Bravo, Somebody People! Also, name comes from a Bowie lyric, which makes this place even cooler.
Read morePro tip: This is a zero-waste place. Bring your own to-go container if you’re a person who brings home leftover food! The to-go containers sold in the restaurant are high-quality glass and stainless steel containers, but the prices start at around $22, which may be too much for some who wish to take food home.

Fantastic - Edit
This is easily one of the best vegan restaurants I've ever been to. I've been eating at vegan and vegetarian restaurants all over the world for more than 30 years and Somebody People is outstanding. I visited Somebody People four times in the past year and each time the food has been exceptionally well-prepared, creative and delicious. On my most recent trip (over the holidays) with family, we did find the risotto salty, but our server kindly replaced that dish for a pasta that was perfect. And otherwise, I not only have NO complaints -- but everything else I've ever eaten at the restaurant has been absolutely delicious. It's a bit pricey, and I wish the mood music were a bit less loud, but otherwise, Somebody People is a Colorado treasure and I plan to return many times.
