I had a blueberry spongecake here that was to die for. It's one of my top cake memories, including pre-vegan days. This is cooking that'll make veganism mainstream. It was light, indulgent, great balance of fruit with cream and cake and, unlike most vegan cakes which seem to use american recipes, not too sweet! It's the closest i've got to southern italian cake since i moved away 16 years ago.
Read moreIt's not a straightforward to find venue, you won't stumble upon it, but easy enough if you've looked on the map. I went 2 weeks after it opened and initially it looked low on stock and disappointing, but slowly realised there's a lot here, just in small quantities. So i stayed about 15 mins.
There's a lot of processed products that I haven't seen elsewhere, like cheeses and 'meats', lots of unusual chocolate bars, but the best is their own cakes, filled bagels and sandwiches. Great for takeaway lunch or train journey.
I really hope the blueberry sponge cake is a permanent feature!

It's got everything you want from cosmetics, shampoo, sweets, chocolates, frozen and chilled, books, and cupboard essentials. And to top it off there's always some lovely pastries or sandwiches available at the till. Staff are always really lovely and will offer great advice on products if you're unsure.

Read moreThey stock a whole range of vegan treats and accessories. We typically come here for their vegan chocolate and the tinned jackfruit but we've also picked up their homemade cakes and sandwiches in the past, which I would 100% recommend!
You may also be lucky enough to visit the shop when the owner's doggo is doing a shift.

This is a great little vegan shop hidden down in one of Cardiff's lovely arcades. They sell both food to eat now as well as pantry staples, frozen food and other vegan products. The pastries which can be heated, sandwiches and cakes are all superb - I would highly recommend the chicken mayo. The freezer and fridge section are also really well stocked with unique products which you can't find anywhere else. Really worth a visit.

one of my favorite places in Cardiff. a shop with everything vegan! great place to get all necessities and on a Friday/Saturday your pizza roll fix. - they are stunning!the staff are lovely. the food great. and also a great choice of items to buy. they make delicious cakes and savouries for you to buy as well. did I mention the pizza rolls? I love this shop. and the best thing is it's also next to science cream so I can grab a yummy ice-cream too!

Sinful indulgence. ........supposed to aviod gluten! Got the last piece of cake for the day. It's really good. I forgot to even ask what type. I think it's a chocolate cake. They also do preorders. For those who want to order whole cakes. They also do gluten free.
Read more1st time going to Simply V, a small vegan store here in the city center. They also have these cheeses not found in neither Holland and Barrett nor Bean Freaks. They are both gluten and soy free cheeses. They have the cheese Zizzi's uses on their pizza Monzerella cheese made from rice.
They have a big variety of chocolates. Also unique to the store. Shaped as sheep and other small animals. Also Easter chocolate eggs. Nom nom..... They also have my favourite Vego Bars hazel nut filled chocolates.

situated half way down one of those lovely old school shopping arcades like you see in Leeds but no longer in London is Cardiff,s all vegan shop. Sporting a good selection of food stuffs and some clothing and accessories too this place is bright and tidy. There are some good take away sweets including a cake version of the infamous "Jaffa cake" biscuit that took me back to birthday parties in my 1970's

Beside the many vegan products (e.g. cosmetics, clothes, alternatives to dairy products...) they also serve home made vegan cakes, cup cakes, hot and cold beverages ...
The cakes that I tried where really delicious. Don' t miss this place! I went there twice and I enjoyed it every time.
It is also a good place for your lunch break if you work in the city centre of Cardiff.
You can also sit outside!
