Delicious vegan food - Edit
Everything we had was really delicious. We tried a range of dishes and drinks but I only got a photo of the Laksa with “chicken”. They have a range of dishes with and without mock meats.
Read moreWe tried going for dinner on a Friday night but it was packed so they put us on a waitlist. We ended up going to another vegan restaurant for dinner but returned the next day for lunch and I’m so glad we were able to get to September during our trip to Wellington.

We came here for dinner and it was a nice restaurant inside. They have a full

The crumb on the outside was crispy and the flavour combined was delicious. I also ordered the duck bao which was filling. The “duck” was nice and had a nice sauce in the bao. Worked really well. I also had the raspberry strawberry bubble tea with sofa water. Not too sweet but a good flavour.
Wish I could have tried more dishes!
My partner had an eggplant dish served with rice which he really enjoyed.

Utterly Inedible Fare - Edit
I’m afraid this is going to sound like a broken record, but unfortunately the three (3) vegan eateries i dined at in Wellington were all equally bad - the food mainly, the service was fine.
Read moreI ordered the suchuan hotpot - it appeared that perhaps none of the staff had ever worked in hospitality, indeed none of them spoke English - but this hotpot was so incredibly hot (temperature-wise) i had to wait 30-45 minutes for it to cool down enough to eat, and still I burnt my mouth.
Perhaps that’s why all the vegetables were so overcooked - able to be eaten by nursing home residents (if they could tolerate anything that boiling).
The favour was like - a tablespoon of salt had been dumped in the bottom of the dish, and that and the chilli were all you could taste.

Best vegan restaurant in Wellington - Edit
Nice ambiance and good food. We glad the lychee drink, chrysanthemum tea, mock duck bao, and satay chicken. Good quality ingredients and good prices! Far superior to Aunty Mena’s !

Good value vegan food - Edit
It was super busy when I was there, its only a small space but they had lots of takeaways. I managed to get the last table, the food took a little while, but didnt bother me as I wasn't in a rush. I ordered a starter and main but really didn't need both! The nasi goreng is just fried rice, non of the extras you'd get in bali, but a massive portion, so good value! Wish I had time to go back and try more.

Delicious food and good value - Edit
We visited September Vegan Food on March 2025. and had a great time. There was a wide choice of dishes which made if hard to choose but we eventually decided on satay skewers to start then mapo tofu (which came with rice) and curry noodle soya and potatoes curry. Everything was fresh and tasty and the portions were really big - we didn't manage to finish everything even though it was delicious. The prices felt very reasonable for the portion sizes. Would definitely recommend and would visit again if we make it back to NZ.

I enjoyed the food that I had at this vegan pan-Asian restaurant in central Wellington.

I was eager to try their 'bao buns' as I have eaten plenty of them in Taiwan. They tasted good, although not quite as good as back in Taiwan.
Prices are on-par with what you would pay at other restaurants.

Everything was delicious and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. There was a huge range of options on the menu but we tried the Satay “Chicken” skewers, BBQ steamed buns, Sweet n Sour “Pork” and Green Curry with “Chicken” and it was all super flavoursome and delicious. It’s a small unassuming but charming little restaurant. Would definitely visit again when in Wellington.
