I ordered the chana masala with medium spice and a plain naan. I was a bit disappointed as the other reviews here were very positive!
Read moreThe chana masala was pretty bland, and even though I had ordered the medium spice, it felt like the «no spice» option. The dish tasted mostly of cream and not much else. The plain naan was fine, but I’ve also had better. There might be better Indian options in St. Julian’s.

I celebrated my birthday at Ruby Rays and it was truly an exceptional experience from start to finish. We were greeted warmly as soon as we arrived and seated immediately, which set the tone for the evening.

The waiter took the time to describe a couple of options in detail and gave a thoughtful recommendation — the Red Ruby. I’m so glad I took his advice! It was a fantastic cocktail, beautifully presented in unique glassware that made it feel extra special.
For food, we ordered the chicken vindaloo, butter chicken, garlic naan, and basmati rice. Everything was absolutely delicious — rich in flavor, perfectly spiced, and served hot and fresh. The timing of the table service was impeccable. We never had to wait long for anything, and at no point did we need to look around for staff. Drinks and dishes arrived promptly, and there were zero mistakes.
The highlight of the evening came when we asked for the bill. Instead of simply bringing it over, the team surprised me at the table with a sparkler, complimentary ice cream, a birthday card, and sang Happy Birthday while wishing me personally. It was such a thoughtful and heartwarming touch that made the night unforgettable.
As we were leaving, the host/receptionist even stood up, walked around, and opened the door for us — a small gesture that perfectly summed up the outstanding hospitality we experienced all night.
Great food, excellent service, beautiful interior décor, and very reasonable prices. I couldn’t have asked for a better birthday celebration. I will definitely be returning!

Loads of attention to detail has gone into this place. Quite a few great tasting vegan options, they even have a DJ on Fridays and Saturdays. Super friendly staff and very lovely, clean toilets. We loved it there.
