Excellent coffee in a spacious setting - Edit
The coffee is delicious, and the setting is spacious and contemporary. Plant-based milks are available for beverages. Staff are helpful and service is excellent.

Good bagel and environment, overpriced for vegan schmear - Edit
The area was very nice to sit and relax with a fireplace and plenty of open area, however, adding vegan schmear to my bagel was an extra $2.25. It was delicious and the bagel was fluffy and filling, though! The chai I got was also very good, I'd definitely get it again.

Unique flavors with vegan schmear - Edit
Super yum unique flavors with vegan cream cheese. I got the salted rosemary and salted …one that resembled pumpernickel? Coffee with alt milks and matcha. Really sweet friendly staff, compost and compostable products, and a cozy fireplace. Visited 3x when I was in town!

Fantastic Bagels - Edit
I never quite understood the attraction to fluffy NYC bagels. Rubenstein makes a phenomenal bagel- thick, chewy like it should be. I usually don’t put cream cheese on my bagels, but looking around, I could see the large amount they slather on them.

Bagels Have No Honey - Edit
I always avoided this place because I’ve read the reviews and it says the bagels have honey. Being hungry, I decided to call and ask if they indeed did. I was told they did not but the person I spoke to didn’t answer as definitively as I’d like. I decided to take a chance.
Read moreI ordered two everything bagels one with the vegan schmear and one without, both toasted. I thought the bagels were cool but they tasted a little tangy to me. I did some research on their website and found out they use a sourdough culture leavening agent in their bagels.
After I had the bagels I decided to email the restaurant to ask if the bagels had honey. The owner himself responded within 5 minutes and said that honey was removed from all bagels a year ago. The only non-vegan bagels are the cheesy ones.
I will now visit more often as I work in the area.

Mediocre - Edit
They do have plant milks and vegan cream cheese (Tofutti). Cashier knew what vegan meant and they have a vegan and non vegan mocha sauce.

Nothing really vegan here? - Edit
Why is this on happy cow? They don't have vegan bagels, their bagels are more expensive than other nearby options, and there aren't vegan spreads. Everyone carries plant milk. This isn't a vegan friendly establishment.
