Vegan food isn't vegan

They sport a huge sign of having purely vegan food and feature some supposedly vegan dishes in an own section of their menu.
We ordered the tofu burger which d looked appetizing in the beginning.bon closer look though, the sauce inside the burger and provided as a dip for the fries looked suspiciously like mayonnaise and so I asked if there are any animal products in it. I was told by the waiter that no, it's not mayo but is vegan. A second person arrived a few seconds later and proudly told me they're not using mayo but sourcream. When I told them that's not vegan, they were clearly surprised but apologetic and took out plates to prepare anew.
Anyhow, given there are so many restaurants here that offer "vegetarian" or "vegan" food, just to prepare it with egg, fish sauce or butter, I must strongly recommend to eat at this place as they clearly use words they think their business would benefit from without knowing the concept of veganism.
