Nice Experience - Edit
I have been vegan for over three years and I travel by auto a lot during the winter months. I'm presently stuck in Lakehurst, NJ waiting out the Nor'Easter hitting my home state of Maine.
Read moreI found a terrific place to hunker down in Ocean Organics, a completely vegan restaurant. I had "the special" yesterday of vegan burger, sweet potato frenchfries, and chocolate vegan milk shake. Oh, boy!
Today I will return to Ocean Organics for my final opportunity to pig out before heading north after the sun goes down.
Nice people, great food, and glad for the experience.
Pros: All vegan, no soy, gluten free. , Terrific staff., Three locations in this area. Tom's River.
Cons: Sleet and Ice storm. (not their fault)., None.

We stopped in on the way to the state park at the beach. Had vegan tacos, a juice and a smoothie. Everything was fresh and tasty. We loved sitting out in the back garden which boarders an estuary. Heard a white eyed vireo and had an osprey sighting. Met the owner and two former employees who had come back to visit. Super friendly people. The place now serves meat but there is a full vegan menu.

It’s sad to see such a great vegan place start to serve meat…. I’m unsure what the current vegan options are since the change. I guess if it’s that or go out of business it makes sense… still disappointing though. -Update on 5/22/24

Really awesome vegan restaurant and juice bar that’s been in operation for 12 years. We tried two smoothies and a sandwich. The smoothies were a Hemp Protein and a Pineapple Pipeline. The sandwich was a special of BBQ jackfruit & coconut bacon. Everything was really good and the atmosphere was also super cute. Overall I enjoyed it and would love to come back!)

abruptly went non vegan and started posting “organic grass fed burgers” and eggs. their reasoning per their comments on instagram was “we had no support from vegans. no vegan influencers ever shared our posts” i guess they had the expectation for their customers to do their marketing and advertising for them. when i commented on their instagram post saying i was upset about the change, my comment got deleted. i commented again and asked why they’re deleting comments and if we can help them back to veganism, and i got blocked. i was a loyal customer for years. almost a decade. it’s a shame.

Writing this review so nobody is mislead with their old reviews saying they’re a fully vegan establishment. I used to only like this place due to the ease of knowing my food would be 100% vegan with no mistakes. Now that it’s not fully vegan and they’re pushing meat I will go else where since the food itself isn’t great.

Holy cow! This place was awesome! Stopped off on our way to the beach and everything was awesome! Buffalo Avocado Veggie Burger and loaded coconut bacon tots and fresh pressed juice. This place is fabulous! It has only 3-4 tables and a quick cafe coffe shop vibe but the food was wonderful.

Totally deserving of five stars!!!! Check out the menu - it is EXTENSIVE. Everything is home made and it seems like everything or almost everything is organic. It was very difficult for us to decide what to order because there were so many menu choices - PLUS an entire chalkboard of specials. Great portions, delicious food. We had the tater tots covered with coconut bacon, cashew cheese, avocado & pico (as a starter), then the BBQ Jackfruit salad, and the grilled portabello salad. This is the best jackfruit I ever had - I forgot to ask but I don't think that it came out of a can because it was so different from the jackfruit I had in the past. Different flavor and definitely different texture - much heartier and tastier. We also got a healthy cookie after lunch. One of the amazing things about our dining experience is that our food came out so fast. No idea how they put together our meal is such short time, completely fresh, all the way down to the organic sprouts on my salad. Can't wait to come here again.

This place is a hidden gem with downright amazing food. Ordered the buffalo avocado burger and it was one of the best sandwich consuming experiences I've ever had. The raw brownie was also fantastic.

I love seeing full vegan joints. I purchased the mushroom cashew cheese sandwich special and the coconut bacon tater tots. I did not think either were over the top amazing or anything I couldn’t have thrown together at home. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. Would only return if desperate for a vegan option.

Great place for delicious all in-house made food and juices. The guy at the counter was super cool and very helpful and friendly! I had one of their burgers with fries and it was delicious as well as the coconut water/kale/lime juice - so delicious! Just wish it was closer to home, i’d go every week if it was.

Yesterday was my first time ever trying this place and I did not regret it. I ordered the Hawaiian pizza (yummm!!!) and a bottle of juice called Cold Killer (no, I’m not sick, just wanted the immune boosting ingredients). It’s on the expensive side, but I’m sure the ingredients used are far from cheap. Will definitely visit again.

Great Vegan Vibes at Jersey Shore - Edit
We rolled in with a table of seven around noon on a Wednesday and found just what we were looking for! Three vegans, a vegetarian... our 84 year old grandma, our aunt, and our 8 year old nephew. Everyone left feeling completely satisfied. Our Gran even said she’d be “open to eating these kinds of meals more regularly.”

The food was really good, & the lady who took our order was very nice. The decor was neat - apparently the owner used to be in a band, & as a musician with a working band myself (in fact we just came from a gig) we appreciated the artwork. The food took longer to come out than I think it should have - we were the only people there at the time. And believe it or not, my husband actually found a hair in his food. But, you know, stuff happens. 🤷🏻♀️ It definitely deserves a decent rating.

I have eaten here 8 times now and every dish has been delicious. The menu rotates which keeps me from getting bored or having to worry about a lack of diversity in my diet . Some of the ingredients come from thier large garden out back that The meals are typically 8 dollar or so. I brought my non-vegan family here and the staff went through the menu explaining all the option and debunked what ever preconceived notions they had about how vegan food uses strange ingredients or is supposed to taste bad.

A New Vegan Eatery to Love - Edit
We have been to the Tom's River and Jackson locations, and both offer superb organic food, soy and oil free. Breakfast skillets are made with chick peas and sweet potatoes and are served with polenta. They are a welcome change from the usual tofu scrambles. Delicious coffee, but I wish they'd serve decaf, as well. Outstanding veggie burgers, two kinds. What I love most is that the fried items are air fried :) Nice owner and very friendly service.

This is my diamond in the rough. The staff here is lovely, kind and knowledgeable. The food is delicious. You can tell it's made with love and fresh. Personally, I love the Portobello Reuben wrap and I get it with the GF Teff Wrap. The sweet potato black bean tacos are delicious, too. It's a very generous serving. I've tried the classic skillet, which I love and my sister really enjoyed the artisan skillet. My daughter, who is 2 1/2, loves the cookies they have up at the counter which are made of the best ingredients. She also loves to have a green juice and their açai and pitaya bowls which are refreshing and satisfying. They usually have them ready for grab and go but they will also make them fresh and customize them! They have organic cold brew coffee which my husband really enjoyed and kombucha on tap which I have yet to try. There is also a small play area and chalk board fo kids to use which my daughter loves. I'll take some photos of their goodies next time, but I can't say enough good things about this place! Worth every penny. ❤??????

Made from scratch, healthy and delicious! No fake meats! Had the green juice and the sprouted whole grain bagel with avocado cashew cream cheese cucumber salsa and sprouts! Delicious. Dying to try the artisan scramble but someone told me about it after I had already ordered. So good and worth the drive if you are not close. I would rate 5 star but won't let me because tho they used to serve meat they now are completely vegan but happy cow hasn't updated yet.
