Good, fast late night meal

We arrived late on the island Friday night and needed dinner without a long wait. We found this spot right outside of the dock and they offered a few great vegan options. The server said the whole burger was vegan (after removing the aioli and including the bun) as well as their tofu poke bowl. Good portions and pretty cheap prices for the island!

Fav vegan option on the island

We ordered the tofu poke bowl and the Catalina roll- both were clearly labeled vegan. Both tasted fantastic and were healthy clean options- opposed to some of the other vegan food options on the island. Definitely one of my favorite vegan meals we ate in Catalina.

** I’m not sure if the ponzu on the Catalina roll was vegan- we ordered it as is since it said vegan and didn’t know we needed to say no ponzu UGHHHH** make sure you tell them ur VEGAN.

Few options, but they’re decently good

Not too many vegan options. We ordered tofu poké bowls and the Miss Catalina roll. The person on the phone seemed knowledgeable about vegan food and assured us that there were no animal products. Tofu bowl was tasty and had lots of veggies, tofu, edamame, and seaweed salad. The veggie roll had many of the same veggies and came with sriracha Mayo but we replaced it with a sriracha drizzle. Overall pretty satisfying but nothing too special.

Pros: Tasty food

Cons: Few vegan options

Lighter Vegan Option on the Island

Not sure why this place has poor reviews?! When visiting Catalina you run out of vegan options pretty quickly so this was a nice healthy surprise for dinner. The staff was super welcoming & explained all the options that were vegan for my husband & I. We enjoyed the tofu poke bowl & Catalina Girl roll (which is not on the menu but the staff told us about it) it’s was a delish dinner & we’ll be coming here again when we’re in Avalon!

Ehh mehhh

Had the Catalina Girl roll (hold the ponzu and its vegan) and it was nasty. Who puts iceberg lettuce on sushi? The avocado rolls were meh, and how can you screw those up? The worst part was the nasty low-sodium soy sauce they give you that ruins everything.

Oh, and no ginger slices because it's a [censored] place.

Cons: Bad sushi

Disappointed

Great vibe, casual but high quality, but i came specifically because they offered a tofu poke bowl but they were out of tofu.

Pros: a few vegan options

Cons: expensive

Good food

We had the miss Catalina roll which was really good. We also got the vegan spot burger, it was good but they forgot the crispy onions which really was the selling point. There was another table giving them a really hard time so we decided not to say anything. Overall it was a good experience and a great option for a vegan.

Edit: came back the next day to get the tofu bowl and it was literally our favorite thing we had on the island!

Pros: Yummy vegan options
