Delicious and exciting stonepots - Edit
The flagship dishes are the Sizzling Stonepot Rice and Miso Raging Ramen.
Read moreThose are actually vegan by default!
Both dishes are delicious as well as exciting (because they are sizzling and cooking in front of you!)
Don't touch the stonepot though ;)

Unique Vegan Options - Edit
I’ve never seen a place that offered a vegan okonomiyaki and vegan loco moco is hard to find as well. The vegan options at this place are pretty refreshing. The loco moco comes with a sweet potato millet patty (not a meaty type burger) and it’s delicious! The fried tofu appetizer was a bit bland, no seasoning in the batter so I’ll skip that next time, but overall it’s a great find!

Nice find - Edit
Was kind of skeptical looking at yelp reviews on this place. Guess they are more picky them me😜
Read moreParked about 2 blocks away and came here about noon. A small but nice selection on vegan plant based items on menu.
I had the Namu sizzling stonepot rice. The bowl was smoking hot. I like how the hot bowl makes the rice crunchy, kind of reminded me of a paella rice dish. The wife had beans & greens. Both of us were happy👍🏼

Great vegan options - Edit
If you're getting bored of the exclusively veg and vegan places in the Divis neighborhood (which is easy, given there are so few), Namu is a solid contender on vegan options.
Read moreNamu took over the old Jay's cheesesteak location a few years back, and to be honest, I think this created a somewhat small animosity on my part. But then here and there i read that Namu had some vegan options and/or could make a lot vegan upon request.
Flash forward to the present and seems they are going even further. I saw on social that they had two vegan plates, the okonomiyako and loco moco. Almost as soon as I got back jnto the country, I went to Namu to try them.
Both dishes were super good! The okonomiyako is a giant savory pancake, with a slightly chewy texture and lots of delicious miso mayo on it. The loco moco is a traditional hawaiian dish, and the gravy was excellent. Loved also that they didn't skimp on the rice.
The two dishes were the perfect amount for my partner and I to split and a reasonable price too. Now that I know how good their vegan options really are, will definitely be checking out again soon!
Pros: Really good vegan options
Cons: Can get busy, with long wait times
