Chinatown Vegan Must Visit - Edit
Shared two soups, Tom Yum Gai and Temple Soup, as well as the Pad Thai. All very good. Prices were very fair and with a 20% tip around $35 for two for lunch. Staff was very friendly and quick to clean up after patrons left. Would definitely visit again!

Best Thai/East Asian food ever - Edit
I went back in 2021, it was just as amazing as it always was. Affordable and high quality plant-based food, and everything is fresh. The boba is great too. Probably my favorite restaurant I have ever been to, highly recommend.

Yummy - Edit
4.5 stars. Very yummy and quick service. The Thai mango salad in particular was excellent, and I was able to adjust the spice level by adding the sauce myself.
Read moreDon't expect the meat to be very much like real meat. The texture is sponge-y but it tastes good. I prefer tofu.
The venue is very no-frills and you need to walk up stairs to get to it.

Insanely delicious food - Edit
I’m shocked by so many low reviews! Food was amazing and super affordable. My favorites were the chive dumplings (more like fried stuffed pancake!), mango salad, and Penang curry with half mock duck. The pad Thai, pumpkin curry, and lemongrass chicken were also good too! I would come back again and again. The stairway up to the restaurant smelled a bit like smoke, but it’s Chinatown 🤷🏻♀️ actual restaurant was very clean, including bathrooms. Our server was also super nice and suggested dishes.

Tasty Food, Good Lunch Specials - Edit
More Chinese in style and service, this hole-in-the-wall Thai vegan joint in Chinatown is accessible via a cigarette smoke-pervaded stairwell on the second floor. So glad I persisted - the food is delicious, lunch specials at $13.50 varied and filling.
Read moreThe Spicy Mango Curry (choice of protein, I opted for chick’un) comes with zucchini, squash, red pepper, onion, rice and a couple of delicious little dumplings; also a miniature tom yum soup on the side, so sweet that it could have counted as dessert.
I also tried the Pad Kee Mao with eggplant (choice of protein again, this time I opted for the tofu) - also delicious, if too much oil and not enough veggies. The meal did not arrive with ‘soup of the day’ or jasmine tea (which I wasn’t aware comprised components until today), so make sure you request these specifically or you may miss half the meal.

Pros: Delicious tasty meals, Good value Lunch Specials, Oriental backstreet charm vibes
Cons: Smoky stairwell, though kinda adds to ruticness, Service a bit hit and miss, but reasonable, Lunch specials - extras (eg tea) often forgotten

Great veg menu! - Edit
Walking around Chinatown was a highlight of my Boston trip, and this was a great stop! The iced coffee, wontons, and hot and sour soup were all great. Ordering pad thai was probably a mistake - not as adventurous as I should have been - but it was good, it a bit bland. Service was fantastic and the atmosphere felt a lot more authentic than other places in Boston.

Dull and Tired - Edit
This place has been here forever. Unfortunately, the food, while 100 percent vegan, is unimaginative and very salty. Every dish, including the hot and sour soup, seems to originate from the same brown sauce base.

Straight up: shabby surroundings. It’s old and run down. BUT THE FOOD…. SOOOO good! One of those hidden treasures. IYKYK. Don’t go here for a romantic date looking for “ambiance.” Do go if you want bomb vegan food, period.

Bad service + okay food - Edit
They never came over to tell me today they didn’t have the ingredients for my dish. Sat there for 20 mins while they kept saying “one more minute.” Finally, I had to go to them and they told me to order something else. Food was only okay.

I understand some of the lower scores for the service (friendly but frantic) and state of the bathrooms (clean on the parts that mattered but…)

Quick vegan Thai - Edit
We had a great meal here. Don’t let the entrance and stairs, which are very shabby and grubby, put you off ! Go up the stairs and into a very plain dining area. It’s a no-frills place. Everything is vegan, quite a lot of mock-meat but plenty of other dishes as well. Huge portions. Service very quick and to the point. Iced water brought immediately and topped up through the meal. Delicious food. Very good value. Definitely recommend if you want a quick no frills vegan meal. Please note not any good for gluten free options though.

Tasty options - Edit
Surprisingly delicious - they successfully recreated many Thai classics (pad Thai, etc) plant based with no loss of flavor. Chicken fingers were tasty but in retrospect a bit disappointing - only tofu with breading, would love to have seen them try some experiments with mushrooms. Nonetheless very solid spot and large, ambitious menu.
