Hi Gail. It is true we are no longer open Monday to Thursday daytimes, the hours have now been updated on Happy Cow. (We are open on Friday & Saturday daytimes as well as Thu, Fri, Sat evenings) We have always been a cocktail events company but did trial the cafe operation in the daytime for several months. Unfortunately, however, it was too quiet which is precisely why the previous cafe went out of business. It’s a shame that you’ve opted to give us this poor review and potentially damage our small business further, especially, as you say, that you have not actually tried us. It is a shame that we were closed when you visited and for that I’m sorry. However, please understand that we were faced with the decision to close these daytimes or simply go out of business. If the village so desperately needed a cafe I dare say the previous cafe would have survived a lot longer. We took on the building and were able to keep staff in employment and the building operational, for that I will not apologise. Thank you. Jay
