Beyond Horrible Experience

I would give this place zero stars. Unfortunately, I was not able to even try the food. Their Houston Galleria location that they just opened has a menu posted. I ordered off that menu and the lady at the counter ran my credit card through. She then shows me the final total after running it through and it’s double the price. I asked why is it double and she says they haven’t update their menu prices yet. I said I’m not paying double the price for the food and wanted a refund. She and the manager refused saying they don’t offer refunds and then pointed to a small line that was handwritten under the menu indicating that prices are subject to change. I said she didn’t tell me about the price change knowing full well I’m looking at the listed prices. Manager still refused. I didn’t take the food. I’ll dispute the credit card charge and I did fill out a complaint form with the mall management. I’ve never seen anything like this. Absolutely shocking.

Good food, cardiac-arrest inducing prices

Good food, however the menu prices are less than what you get charged on the receipt. Napkins are from a different restaurant too. Real strange establishment

Pros: good food, convenient location

Cons: prices, dishonesty about prices

Stomach Virus, Overpriced, Greasy Food

Do Not Eat Here! If I could give zero stars I would. (Happy Cow automatically gives 1 star) My 3 year old and I got a stomach virus that evening after eating here! I feel so bad for my toddler because he is really suffering. I posted this on the Houston Vegans group but I'll share here too. I just ate at Mr. Veg'n in the Galleria Mall (August 4, 2022) and it was a complete disappointment. I'm telling you so you can save your money in this overpriced restaurant. First, I was with my 3 year old son after spending a lot of time in the Apple store trying to get my laptop fixed. We were hungry after that. I looked up vegan spots in the Galleria on the a Houston Vegans page and found Mr. Veg'n. Listen, if I would have know that Salata and Chipotle were just a couple stores down I would have skipped this place based on the prices on the menu alone. But we were hungry. I ordered the burger, fries, and 2 nuggets and water. I thought I was just getting regular free water but honestly the cheap bottled water was the only thing we enjoyed to wash our intestines, and that was $3.00. The food was extremely greasy. My burger barely had any lettuce on it and they forgot my pickles. The bun was soggy with grease and the buns were the HEB brand buns. Our fries were wet with grease and the nuggets tasted like they been in the freezer too long. The restaurant was empty when we walked in and their was splattered ketchup on the floor under our table. While we were there the cook emptied out a can of Hunts tomato sauce into one of the containers at the grill. My meal of a greasy burger, fries, 2 nuggets and 1 bottle of water was $32.61. It would have been worth it if they put more effort and quality ingredients into their food but this was disgusting and disappointing.

Cons: Greasy Food, Cheap Ingredients , Stomach Virus
