The store carries mostly dry groceries like nuts, legumes, pasta, grains. The café in the back offers your typical café fare. We had a soup, a raw sandwich, and a raw falafel salad. They were light and healthy and perfect for a late afternoon casual meal. Staff spoke English.

Best raw vegan food in Montevideo - Edit
Mercado Verde is the place to go for excellent raw vegan food in Montevideo! There is a daily lunch menu with fresh juices and various dessert options. I stopped for lunch and had a veggie wrap, a detox juice and a coconut yoghurt with granola. All delicious! They also sell lots of health food items and it´s the perfect place to stock up on raw food goodies.

The wrap and smoothie were delicious, but the yoghurt tasted really weird.
Also, bear in mind that everything in the store is quite overpriced. Probably wouldn't visit again.

Lovely little restaurant and shop - Edit
The Sarandi branch of Mercado Verde is well located on the pedestrian Sarandi strip, and has a charming dining room (including loft seating). During my visit, I was told that all the food items available in the restaurant section were vegan (but I don't know if that's always the case here). There were several nice vegan desserts in the case, and good cappuccino with almond milk. The food menu is somewhat limited but everything available seems to be of good quality. Service was very warm and helpful. Enjoy!
