Indian restaurant (not vegan-friendly) in that location now. Magdalena's website says,

Pros: It was great. I miss it.

The menu didn't look vegan friendly to me. If the restaurant is only temporarily closed, that conflicts with what their website says.

The new restaurant is pretty good. It says vegan / vegetarian on door. The menu needs some work to make it clear exactly what’s vegan. I mentioned that too them awhile ago. They speak decent English so you can struggle through the ordering process.

When a menu makes it clear what's vegan, that to me makes the restaurant vegan friendly. If I have to struggle to explain what I want or risk being served animal products, the willingness of the restaurant to try to accommodate me is problematic.

Next level hostility - Edit
On our road trip down the 101, we were initially interested in eating here. We called ahead, as we do these days, to see about accommodating an allergy. The person on the other end hung up on us very rudely, though initially, we weren't sure if it was the service in the area, and being the Kindlizard family, we gave the benefit of the doubt. Later, the FOH staff became very irritated at the question, she became nasty and replied that she would not ask the kitchen if there was anything for us to eat. Essentially told us to bug off and dismissed us once again.

The hostility did not end there, however. Later, she tried to game the Happycow system and list her cafe as Vegan when they totally and obviously state they serve dairy! I called them on it. She would go on to explain rennet to me, their local fondness for dairy, and how those factors should still qualify her cafe as Vegan. Lame!!
Her being dishonest about the listing and being dishonest and disrespectful toward customers, especially with kids, makes her cafe problematic. Maybe don't sell dairy if you think getting labeled as "not vegan" hurts your biz; you can't have it both ways and then lie about it.
You may have a bizarre, irrational interaction here. You may get a plate full of derision or animosity instead of the cute cinnamon roll you had in mind.
Locals can find a calmer, more rational place to eat, and I am so sorry to anyone who feels compelled to eat here. You'll see that others are starting to feel the hostility in their reviews as well...

Cons: dismissive and insulting hostility , Dairy sellers yet try to act like they vegan; cmon, what's up with that?

That's just the thing. This would be valid, if it actually happened. You seem like an extremely narcissistic person that literally has nothing better to do then to harass an extremely hard working, generous business woman into some sort of an apology over something that never actually happened. Do you own a business? Do you have any idea what it's like? Buzz off!!!!! It doesn't matter how many times you obsessively repost this nonsense. Anyone that knows Greta or anyone within their right mind can clearly see that you're just another crazy person with an opinion and a computer!
