Ottimo ristorante vegetariano a Shanghai - Edit
Ci sono andato da solo, per lavoro. Ambiente pieno di persone tranquille e felici. Mi ha colpito il cameriere o proprietario, che avendomi riconosciuto straniero ovviamente, ha controllato le scelte sull'ipad, e mi ha chiaramente detto che per me era troppo, e mi ha aiutato a cancellare alcune cose. Così non abbiamo sprecato.

Easy to find, warm friendly service, best vegan food in Shanghai hands-down - Edit
It’s super easy to find, and there’s a clear Happy Cow sign on the window. I had a fried mushroom dish which was super yummy. Unfortunately it came out way sooner than the other two dishes I ordered, making 1. me almost finished with them and 2. them cold by the time the other two dishes came out. The food is very, very fresh. The next dish that arrived were the walnut buns (dim sum section of menu), which were slightly sweet and pleasant. The next dish that came out were steamed dumplings/jiaozi, that arrived piping hot. They were good, but really filling, so you should be fairly hungry when eating this dish if you’re by yourself. The problem with this dish was with the sauce that came with it, which I can’t even call sauce; it was just melted and very greasy sesame seed butter without any flavor at all. The service was really warm and friendly here, so I’d definitely come back to try more dishes, and bring someone with me next time. They have an iPad menu that has some English, and ordering is pretty easy.

I’ve already been here two more times since my first trip, and I will keep coming back because it’s proven to be the best vegan food I’ve had in Shanghai, on top of being very reasonably priced. Dishes I highly recommend: chicken in chili sauce, mushroom buns, “fish” and vermicelli soup pot with pickled cabbage, wonton soup

Huge veg menu & friendly staff - Edit
Ate here several as it was a 5 minute walk from my hostel, big menu on an iPad with English translation. The grilled unagi, sweet and sour pork and the pork ribs are delicious. There’s lots of mock meats but also some vegetable dishes. Staff are friendly and food is hot and comes out quickly

Das kleine Restaurant bietet Platz für ca. 20-30 Leute. Die Einrichtung ist einfach, aber sauber. Man bestellt via Tablet mit bebilderten Gerichten. Die Auswahl ist groß, die Preise sind sehr günstig (Hauptgericht ca. 30-50 Yuen Reis 3 Yuen). Die Portionen sind wie auf den Bildern. Sie sind ausreichend und dem Preis angemessen. Verschiedene Gerichte probiert. Alle sehr lecker. Kam deshalb öfters. Absolute Empfehlung.

Was just there and had a delicious lunch. They were very friendly and you order on tablets with English descriptions of the food. At least one member of the staff speaks English very well and overall they were very attentive.

Traditional Chinese Vegan Food - Edit
Had a really lovely meal here. So nice to finally be able to try a vegan alternatives to some of the traditional dishes I’ve seen on my travels through China. The sweet and sour ‘pork’ was particularly good. Helpful staff, just a shame that it’s closed so early.

Big selection of Chinese dishes ordered on ipad with pictures. The owner speaks good English, the staff is friendly. Food comes out fast, free welcome tea is offered. Went there 3 times and tried many things, very tasty across the board.

Of course it's pricey if you compare it to the street food or the all-you-can-eat for 30 RMB. But compared to other vegan restaurants it's really cheap, we paid around 170RMB for more food than 2 people could eat, but we could take the rests back home in containers

Amazing veggie restaurant with lovely staff. They spoke good English so was easy to communicate, we aren’t vegan so didn’t need to ask- but sure they can accommodate if needed. 100cny for our meal which was reasonable. Recommend everything we had! The eggplant, faux chicken and walnut buns.

My waitress suggested I get the sweet and sour dish which did not disappoint. I went around 2pm so I nearly had the entire restaurant to myself but I ensure you, all of my food was very fresh!

Für jeden etwas dabei. Viel Gemüse bis zu Fleischersatz. Nur asiatisch. Man tippt am iPad seine gewünschten Speisen per Bildauswahl an. Mitarbeiter spreche kein Englisch. Essen (Mock-meat Tuna) und dumpling soup waren ausgezeichnet. Kurze Wartezeit (aber auch gerade nichts los). Leicht zu finden.

The Veggie beef and pork dishes were delicious as well as the mapo tofu!! The wontons were alright but still worth a try. Overall had a delicious vegetarian feist and would definitely come back. The staff was friendly and the location was cozy and warm!! A lovely lunch!

All vegan restaurant with friendly non-English speaking staff. Picture menu with English description. I uploaded a few pictures of the menu but there are additional items available. Note the correct building design in the photos. The old one is wrong. Everything I ordered was fresh, healthy, and delicious. Not surprisingly there were monks eating while I was here.

Good vegetarian / vegan food. Did not speak English but provided a menu with pictures and English translation. Their review from whatever organisation assesses the cleanliness of the kitchen in China is just Satisfactory. Reasonable prices for Shanghai.
