Fantastic place , lovely staff - Edit
Plastic free and copious amounts of great food in this wonderful shop / cafe. I highly recommend this relaxing, ethically driven cafe. We liked it so much we plugged it on a radio interview later in the day. Worth seeking out - you won’t regret it. There are no photos of the curry I had because I ate it immediately and enjoyed every bit!

Favorite bulkstore - Edit
Best plasticfree bulkstore I know in Holland. Recently they also opened their webshop. Lovely couple from Ireland that runs this small shop with spices, tea, beans, grains, nuts, pasta, chocolate, homemade cosmetics, flour, dried fruits, superfoods, ferments and more. Small selection of cakes and pre-Covid they used to serve meals and homemade drinks as well.

Some stuff may seem expensive, but if you understand what it takes how to make it (like the cheese) and understand where everything comes from and know about the rent prices in Amsterdam, you will understand why. Shop is plastic free!

Take your own bags and bottles along and buy your staples here! This lovely little store is located in a pretty street, and is also a feast for the eyes. We also bought a selection of little gluten free tarts to take home and were left wishing for more. They also serve a few meals, drinks and sweets.

Had a very nice Thai chickpea stew for the reasonable price of €9,50. There was a choice of 2 soups (€8) and 3 stews / curries (€9,50-€13,50) when I was there. The very friendly service and cute decor makes for a welcome escape from the more touristic scenes.

The most amazing vegan cheeses I have ever tasted! I have tried many over the years and haven't liked a single one...until I tried these. One was cheddar-like, with a really natural sour, nutty flavour and no rubbery texture and the other was a really rich, creamy, garlicky, softer cheese that surpasses any of its dairy counterparts. Truly outstanding!

Always reluctant to take food from another contry outside the origin, but I took the chance and tried the Thai chickpea stew. I immediately messaged my friend in Thailand to put it on his restaurant menu. Very kind owners which gave the restaurant an authentic feel!

This place has a very calming and charming energy. The love of the owners really shines through on the food and drinks they serve. I would definitely recommend this place weather for buying tea or stopping in for lunch. I had the best hot chocolate I have ever had.
