Little Bear Athens Bistro - Edit
This cozy little bistro boasts an exceptionally friendly and attentive staff. We had no complaints about the service, which was mentioned in other reviews. The owner herself was incredibly warm and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed their Greek salad, which we found to have the best vegan feta in all the vegan Greek salads we had tried in Athens. We also ordered the mixed grill, which was delicious, but we found it a bit too oily for our taste. We’ll probably opt for something less oily next time.

Very extensive vegan menu many with vegan meat products. We went for coffee and backlava. They took our order and then we waited ages (while they did numerous other things). We had to remind them twice that we were waiting. The coffee and baclave wasn't great.

While I generally support fully plant-based establishments, our recent and only experience here was unfortunately quite underwhelming. The quality of the meal was poor and appeared to lack the expected attention to detail. Several items served were cold, the fries were undercooked, and the overall preparation was subpar. Although we did not sample the desserts, I would not recommend traveling across town for a meal here based on this experience.

It’s fantastic to have a place fully vegan in Piraeus, however the service is not very friendly (I have been there 3 times). Food is OK, not too bad, not too good. Last time they gave me a extremely salty tofu scrambled. So salty that it was impossible to eat. They told that’s the way it is and they charged me full amount anyway.

Thank you! Sadly, we are no longer in Piraeus. The plate you liked before is called Kayanas and it's the Greek style tofu scrambled. The plain one is a completely different dish, maybe that's why it's not the best for your palette. I just wanted to make it clear that they are actually too different items in the menu. We had amazing breakfast here. Oredered two sandwiches and frappes and one cake for two persons and dishes were so big we could not finish! They had a long menu! Would have liked to try all the dishes. I also took two chocolates as take away and those were also good. Really warm and welcoming service! If we heard right they are moving to Athens next year!

Vegan pastries in Pyreas - Edit
To explore the area around Athens, I stopped by the port district of Piraeus. I had planned to visit this unique vegan bakery and bistro in Piraeus, which opened in 2021.

For dessert, they have cakes, vegan Greek specialties, and cookies.
I ordered a traditional Greek dish: a vegetable omelet with tofu and tomato, served with a plant-based sausage and fries (kagionas)—it was delicious.
For dessert, a beautiful red fruit Black Forest cake rounded out my meal.
The staff was attentive, very friendly, and truly welcoming!
And I was lucky enough to have them prepare a hearty Caesar club sandwich for the flight!
I highly recommend this bakery—the only 100% vegan spot in Piraeus!

Little Bear is a cute little shop that offers a wide range including both savoury and sweet food. When we visited we were looking for sweet treats to take away and were very impressed with the range.

We also chatted with the owner who was lovely and told us she makes everything fresh each day!
Everything we got was very tasty! I would say that the Bueno, black forest and chocolate cigar were all quite similar in flavour, but I really enjoyed them all. The Bueno and black forest were lovely and moist, and the chocolate cigar had a crispy shell and lovely filling. The Baklava was also really good with lovely crispy pastry and drenched in delicious syrup. They were also all very sweet which I personally enjoyed but maybe something to be aware of if you have less of a sweet tooth.
Definitely worth a visit, and perfect if you are catching a ferry from the port like we were!

traveling to vegan life festival in Athens with some friends. During the duration of the festival I have tried a bunch of different sweet treats from them, as we went there multiple times, and have to say. I loved all of them. They offer mostly vegan cakes with delicious creames, which melt in your mouth. Definitely worth a visit 😋

The baked goods are what we came for and it did NOT disappoint!! We ended up staying for the Big Bear Burger as well and it was HUGE! It's about a 30-35 min walk from the cruise port, but so very worth it. Also, there was baklava! I was so excited to get some and wish I could take more home with me. The owner is so sweet and helpful as well. Would definitely recommend visiting here!

Large portions and rich food: you won't leave still feeling hungry 😉 It also offers a varied selection of sweets; I tried the peanut biscuits and they were so well baked and tasty without being too sweet. The mixed fruit juice was also made to perfection. Seating indoors and outside. I'm glad Piraeus has its dedicated Vegan eatery!

Unexpected gem on the Greek coast! - Edit
We went for lunch before catching a ferry, and was met by the lovely family and super delicious food. We were 2 people who shared the mix grill, and it was a big portion - more than enough for two. The pita was out of this world, and the tzatziki one of the best we have had! They make the fake meat themselves, and both texture and taste was impressive. The orange juice was also great! Recommend also trying the cookies or bring some to go, they were a nice cherry on the top! 10/10, totally recommend this place to all vegans and non-vegans!
