Best Vegan food in Samui - Edit

We stayed in Koh Samui for a month and this restaurant (and the owner) became
our favourite. We always took the buffet which had many diffent options. Food is delicious and cheap too, especially if you like spicy thaifood. Healthy and quite low in fat too. Definitely recommend to try!

Pros: Excellent food, Good value, Sweet owner

Lovely Vegan Thai Food in Koh Samui - Edit

Great vegan thai with large variety of choices. The owners are very friendly and kind. We enjoyed the springs rolls, fried beancurd, pad thai and cashew chicken. Serves lots of mock meat items all full of flavour and very tasty at affordable prices. The shakes are also delicious especially on hot days. Highly recommend.

Pros: Very tasty, Friendly staff, Affordable prices

Cons: In a busy area

Little gem on Koh Samui - Edit

Ate there with my non vegan parents and sister, and we all loved the food. Everything we ordered was bursting with flavor, and the woman who worked there was kind to answer our questions about the food, and gave us little samples of the food so we could taste it before we ordered it. All in all, it was amazing thai food, with all kinds of tasty meat and fish alternatives, and the waiter and owner were very kind and sweet. Also, it was very cheap! Worth a visit :)

Pros: Friendly staff, Amazing food, Cheap

Cons: It took a while for the food to arrive.

Thai vegan dream - Edit

We had a really scrummy meal at Khunny!! We eat well in Thailand, ordering our staples of pad Thai & pad see ew without fish or egg, mixed veg without oyster sauce & som tum without fish sauce, but eating at a Thai vegan restaurant takes it to the next level. Not to mention the huge bonus of being spoilt for choice, it's so exciting eating food cooked by someone who designs the meal without any meat, fish or egg in mind, using all the amazing traditional Thai flavours, along with TVP & &/or tofu, to offer a bit more than just veggies. We chose some starters from the menu & spicy options from the buffet & devoured it all!

Vegan food in Samui! - Edit

Been here a few times and really enjoy the food. Every time I go, I get the massamun curry. The vegan lady always has a little laugh when I order 4+ rice servings :-)

Pros: vegan, big vegan signs, friendly staff

The best opinion for vegans at Chaweng! - Edit

This small restaurant is located in walking distance from Chaweng beach, a shortcut is to walk trough Festival Shopping Centre. The food at the restaurant is cheap by Koh Samui standards, and very tasty. They have a huge variety of different dishes (all vegan) with the majority being thai. I went there two times and the fake chicken tasted so good! The owner is also very friendly and speaks great english. Good to know is that they're only open evening on Sundays.

Pros: cheap, many choices , friendly staff

Still open. Great food at a good price. - Edit

As of June 14th 2016 this place is still open. Great vegetarian and vegan food, Thai style. I had a potato massaman curry and some shiitake mushrooms with a bowl of rice and fresh coconut juice. I am definitely going back for more.

cheap food, all yummy - Edit

Run by a very nice helpful lady, vegan for 10 years. She seems to understand English, but is a little hard to understand. We were a bit nervous as not only needed to ensure vegan but no nuts or sesame (due to allergies). The food that came out was delicious and extremely well priced. I would highly recommend.

Pros: Yummy, Vegan/allergy sensitive, great price

Cons: Small , very hot... not a great deal of relief from the he

free tasters - Edit

Friendly, tasty food - although a little salty (Soy sauce?) - and after I'd asked about one of the curries I was given a free taster! The guys here really appreciate your custom. We will return :)

Pros: mock meat (pork), appreciative and friendly, staff are vegan

Cons: a little salty (stir fried greens)

Tasty, and inexpensive! - Edit

I had the vegan "fish" which was really good with fried rice--similar to something I've had in Taiwan. Also tried the Masaman curry soup--included nice tofu and big chunky fresh veggies. Owner was very friendly! Clean, simple, and very satisfying place to enjoy a vegan lunch.

One of our new favorites! - Edit

Khunnay is a welcome addition to the veg•n scene on Koh Samui. It offers both a standard buffet and an a la carte menu with several unusual options. My favorite was the fried somtam. I also enjoyed the pumpkin stir fry. Fresh juices and smoothies are also on offer.

Service is very warm and friendly, and basic English is spoken. Prices are very reasonable.

It's conveniently located just a block or so west of the Central Festival mall.

Enjoy!

Pros: All vegan, with good variety, reasonably priced, very friendly

Cons: None
