Amazing venue - Edit
Karls Kraut is one of the best vegan restaurants here in Switzerland and definitely worth the visit. They offer a changing menu for dinner with different creative and tasteful options. I had a pasta dish with seasonal vegetables and Creme brûlée for dessert, absolutely delicious! Also the staff is very attentive and forthcoming. Just be sure to reserve ahead because it get‘s very crowded in the evening.

First vegan stop in Luzern and a very good one, realistically 4.5 stars as I got served someone else's main course! Which I discovered after 1 mouthful and a taste of the sauce then checked the menu again. However because of this had a great conversation with the lady whose meal it was, we had a laugh about it.
Read moreAnyway onto the food. The beetroot Carpaccio was really tasty with a lovely smoky flavour, shallot confit and roasted buckwheat for texture, mustard seeds and chive oil. A really well thought out dish. For my main I had the polenta, braised cabbage on beluga lentils with black garlic cream. The cabbage was braised in miso and was soft, tasty and the best part of the dish to be honest. Polenta was, well, just a slab of polenta that was a bit bland and I think just made with water and no stock of any kind which always lifts polenta out of its blandness. Black garlic cream was lovely and the lentils were tasty but as the most expensive main at CH32 I expected better. Wish I'd have gone for the other main after briefly tasting it. Pistachio Tiramisu was delicious, portion a bit too big really but not complaining, just took a while to finish. Service was excellent, staff were super friendly and helpful. Overall 7.5/10.

I really liked the food! To the soup I asked for gluten free bread. It took some time ro get it, but it was warm and suprisingly tasty, and aoft on the inside and had a crust on the outside.

Extra plus that they use organic and seasonal ingredients.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
The atmosphere was very cozy.
I'd love to come back another time!
Secret tip: choose the right bathroom for a view into an old well (!).

This riverside restaurant is a gem! Service was cherry and helpful. The selection for lunch was just three items but all good and tempting. Generous servings. Happy Cow said it closed at two on Saturday but they are actually open all afternoon. This would also be a lovely place for dinner.

Die kreativen Menüs bleiben in guter Erinnerung! Zuvorkommende Bedienung, gute Geteänkeauswahl - auch nonalkoholisch. Der kalte Rooibos-Vanille Tee ist der Hammer! Schon mehrmals hier gewesen, immer wieder ein Highlight - bestellt einfach nicht den Burger, der hat eigentlich nichts auf der Karte verloren.😄und wer nicht schwindelfrei ist, sollte nicht ins rechte Klo. Wer schwindelfrei ist: unbedingt aufs rechte Klo ;)

The food is great, the staff is very friendly and the location has a wonderful view over the canal with a few historic landmarks in the near vicinity! And even though it is close to the very busy old town this street was actually surprisingly quiet! Big recommend!

They offer seasonal dishes so the menu changes, but they’re always committed to tasty, health forward meals. The veggie burger was great but the chocolate mousse dessert stole the show!

This restaurant was completely full the night we went. Great atmosphere, excellent food and a good wine list. I enjoyed the ‘Autumn plate’ and the Pumpkin Pie. It’s expensive but it’s in Switzerland where everything is expensive.
