We went to "Veganaroma" today with high hopes and looking forward to a wide range of dishes and desserts. First thing we found alarming but decided to overlook was the fact that the floor and tables were dirty and the place empty which is usually a bad sign. When we ordered a few small snacks along with smoothies the second disappointment came, i.e. the main desserts we came for weren't available and the smoothies weren't smooth at all but rather chunky and the nuts in the liquid weren't crushed because, as was later revealed by the owner who served us, she refused to use the Vitamix which was in the kitchen and clearly visible for us. As is commonly known, the Vitamix is one of the best high speed blenders and always used in raw food cuisine or at least in professional surroundings that serve smoothies. However upon asking her to use that device instead of the mediocre non-high speed blender they had in the kitchen, she first came up with an excuse claiming that the container was only for nuts and dry foods and that she generally doesn't like to use it. Being long time vegans and raw foodies who use the Vitamix on a daily basis we insisted that she was wrong and the shown container was for liquids. She then simply snapped and said she didn't like to use it because of the noise it made. She even said to one of her employees "they only like the Vitamix" laughing. Are you serious? You're running a restaurant and refuse to meet your guests' wishes by making a smoothie smooth using the right device and being rude? On top of that she made fun of our friend's English because he is no native speaker. Excuse us, we're tourists and the world doesn't revolve around English which requires everyone to be at a native level.
All in all a bad experience and I would certainly discourage anyone from going - food, cleanliness and attitude were awful. Save yourself the trip and money and go somewhere else!

P.S. I'm sure one or several of those raving reviews praising the owner and the restaurant will appear shortly after this one. Coincidence? I think not ;)
